Getting ready for the car show season and I get asked many questions about the banana, so I'm trying to create 2 sheets that contains the stock info (production numbers, rpo codes, etc...) and the other is a list of modifications. I'm going to attempt to attach the document as a .ppt format, but let me know if it does not work.

What I need is some of your creative ideas on how to make the look of these pages better, should the ordering be different, should more information be included, etc... I'm thick skinned, so fire away!

Andy,

That's pretty cool. I've thought about doing the same thing for the '74. You've got all the details down and I like how you categorized it. As far as creativity, that's not my specialty so I'm sure someone will chime in.

Looks cool man!

I like the word miscellaneous better than other mechanical

make the gaps between boxes the same (intake and rotating assembly spaced to far)

also think about making the format 8X10
this will allow you to get it printed on Photo paper and will almost always look nicer than paper. that is unless your getting it engraved in steel or stone

Andy,

I found this site that can put your specs into poster form with creative pictures of your car. Seems a little pricey, but they look pretty cool......

Curtis, this is exactly where I'm headed with the final product. I'm going to take some very, very slow shutter speed (15 - 30 +- second exposure), low ISO (extended low 50), at night in the parking garage at work which will produce a color popping, extremely high resolution photo. That picture will be as a heading or shadow, behind the words. Different pictures for each page. Even considering 12 pictures of two angles, combine them using HDR technology, so it looks like 2 different cars side by side (one front, one rear), while showing every detail possible...

By the way, if you want to do something like this, let me know. I can get a 24X36 photo like the link you posted for +-$3.00 and a hardboard 24x36 for +-$30. Can also go bigger. It will only cost you a meal (just joking...).

Thanks 383tpimachine for the suggestions. I had not even considered the format 8X10, that will work great.

Keep the ideas flowing...

No problem I worked at walgreens and when it was a high res pic they came out great. Still thinking about doing mine in a similar fashion but I never get around to making shows.

and a big plus of the 8X10s is they are CHEAP. easy to remake in case you get the modding bug again

Maybe add a dyno sheet and/or some track results?

I'd like to see some pictures added to spice it up. Maybe even photos of what some of the rotating assembly would look like, or shots of the car being worked on.

Sounds like a fun project. Here's another 'show card' link.
