Have a check engine lite on which comes up as 22. My service manual doesnt list them but are they the same as the 84/86? They say low voltage tps. Replaced the throttle sensor, reset the ecm but still came back with a 22 code, any ideas?

From what I can tell that is correct, throttle position sensor low. Just remember that the code doesn't necessarily indicate the part itself is bad. It indicates there is a problem in the circuit. That could also be faulty wiring, etc. You need to inspect the whole circuit. Someone with an 84 FSM should chime in and help you with the diagnosis section for a code 22.

Thanks Matatk, I did find the codes in my manual. When you put the tps in you have to measure the voltage to get between .5 and .8. I set it at 1 and reset the ecm, no more check engine lite and runs great. Thanks again
