I finally found the one I was looking for and flew down to Texas to get it. It's a nice, clean car that I'm going to destroy

...Next year. I'm going to drive it this summer before it goes under the knife. What can I say? I needed something that gets better gas mileage than my truck.

Thanks to Andy for the help last week with my search!

Turning it into a race car, I assume. That's probably nicer than my C5.

Looks to be an 05.

And I wouldn't say ruin. You are enhancing it!

Yes, '05 Z51.

Already purchased revalved Bilstein shocks, T1 adjustable sway bar endlinks, lowering bolts, and a set of door speakers (one was blown).

Looking for some T1 sway bars...

The C4 is feeling neglected.

You go, Jon!

Glad I could help, even if that car in question wasn't what it was advertised...

The 05 looks SWEET! Win that gold medal!

WOW, nice ride.

If I ever buy another I'm going to have to give it to the lil woman as a driver... Actually she is making moves to claim my 76 as we speak... maybe if I let her have the 76 I can buy a newer one to modify....

Bill's going to find the limits so I have a bar to reach for

Not giving up, I still plan to finish the season with black beauty. Maybe next season, too. Who knows. I just wanted something with an LS in it.

Honestly, I should really put the C4 up for sale but I can't bring myself to do it. I'll probably be buried in it someday. People keep asking me if the blue one is fast, and don't believe me when I shrug and say "eh, Not too bad". But let's be clear - the black one is a helluva lot faster

Here's one more photo from the trip home...I had one brief spot of dry weather over 30 hours.

When the lowew portion on your thighs feel wet, you've found the limit.

They did at one point in Arkansas but it wasn't related to excitement. I didn't want to stop, there was an empty gatorade bottle close by...

My aim is pretty good but thank goodness I didn't get any on the leather. And thank goodness Texas cars all have deeply tinted windows!

Congrats on the new purchase. I'm still amazed at how docile LS powered cars seem....until the pedal is mashed to the floor.

I'd give up a kidney before the C4

Well, maybe not, but you get the idea.

Unless someone wants to buy it?

Matt, that was right "on" or at least "near" Putnam Park in Indy

Interesting to me to see that you were only at 4.5 grand and had maybe 2 grand to go to redline. How fast would that be?
