I'm considering to have this breadbox delete panel repo'd.
The cost of the part is to be determined.
The plan is to not include the word "Corvette" due to licensing.

Your thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

Have one and love it. My breadbox was nasty from sitting for 10 years and the delete made the interior even out.

I just purchased one. When I finish the transmission my next project is the speakers in the dash. When I check them out I will install mine.

I guess my question is why have it reproduced when it's already available from the parts vendors? Although I think it's overpriced at $55, I think you'd have a hard time producing a small number to sell at that price.

If I remove the breadbox there would be nothing for my passengers head to bounce off of when I do a quick stop.. ..WW

Seriously, if you can do it for less then the $55.00 there going for now, you should do pretty well. Im sure the price is stopping alot of folks from getting one.$55.00 for a stamped piece of plastic is a little to much, especally when its not something you have to do...WW

The panel that is currently available from madvet and others is less than (IMO) visually pleasing. They're asking 49 for that piece.
So I'm looking at a short run of 20 or so pieces that will offset the initial tooling costs. Then we can start repoping other C4 parts.

Well... if we are going to do this, lets do this right.

1. Better grades of plastic that don't break down in 3 years.

2. Options of coatings and colors (partner with hydrocarbon?).

3. Custom sizes of openings for audio options.

4. Reengineer a few parts so they are not so failure prone - think arm rest cover and sun visors.

Just a few thoughts.

And how would your design be any different?

Is this a prebuy like the renegade intake manifold? Seriously I might buy one from you. My 85 has a glovebox conversion but my 84 still has the original.
