Har! My handle used to be "Mister Donut", since my van was a former Mister Donut truck.

10-4 backdoor. Put the peddle to the metal and let it roar.

Although today that might have a whole new meaning.

Humm, can't remember what my handle was.

Nice lookin' van, Brad.

My problem with CB's was the antennas (and underground parking garages).

This is what my van looked like when I sold it 3 years ago with 350,000 miles on it, bought it brand new, camped in it at half of the racetracks in the U.S.

Back when CB was a big craze I was an over the road big rig owner/operator. So of course I had all the 'neat stuff'. Cobra CB with a linear in the truck and cars and a Browning Eagle base station with a Moonraker 6 over the roof. I could ratchet jaw with the best back then.

Dude, with that much CB, you could bounce from GA to CA!

My sister-in-law's dad was an OTR trucker back in the 50s and 60s. He retired in the early 70s, but kept in touch with his friends via a base station. He could bounce all the way to Texas from FL with this system. Impressive.

I remember those linear transmitters... made the trucker sound like he was in an echo chamber!

We used to have CB's in our cars when I was a teenager since there weren't cellphones back then.

I don't believe that I'm openly admitting this on a public forum, but I was a huge KISS fan back in the 70's / 80's, so my handle was "Dr. Love". Yep, there was a big, fat pimply faced teenager at the mic.

Kinda' creepy huh?

But hey, now I drive a Vette!
