Good Morning CGs!

So they are calling for snow and colder temps this evening and for the weekend. I can't complain...we've barely had any snow at all this year. I have been getting the itch to pull the cover off the car and take it out on the sunny days. I think it will stay sleeping until April or so.

Not much else to report here.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Off to bring the son for a couple of medical proceedures. They're knocking him out so we'll be there to help him recover and take care of him till he gets all his marbles back. I'll be back later.

Happy Friday! Hope all goes well with your son, Tommy - pass along some Guru mojo for us. It's a good day to be thankful for the invention of long sleeves - the wind chill will be in the neighborhood of -10 today. The cold stuff isn't supposed to stick around too long though, fortunately.

Here's a feel-good story for Friday:

Have a good day, yawlz!

Yesterday I posted some pics of my 63 and some of a 65 coupe from Daytona Beach when I was a kid. Looking at the 63 I was compelled to picked up the phone and spent an hour or so trying to trace down the guy I sold the car to back in 92......I found him.......and.......he had sold the car 10 years ago to some outfit back in New Jersey of whom he could not remember who they were......

What would I have done if he had still owned it and wanted to sell it to me? I would have driven down to his town and wrote the check. (Ok after thinking about it I would have been tempted to go down and write the check....hows that?) Probably for the best in the long run...............for my marriage anyway......nuts!

I should send you a copy of Driveline (NCRS), probably 50 ads from guys lookin' for their former cars.
It actually works in a few cases, some guys do find them, it's a pretty tight knit community.

Finding them is one thing, getting a chance to buy them back is another.

Does happen though.

Good morning guys....It was cold here this morning 12*, very deceiving, the sun is shining brightly and looks nice out there. I ran across my old 64 several years back, the guy had changed colors (from silver to a maroon...looked like crap with the torch red interior), but it was in decent shape. I didn't even ask him about buying it.

I think that the gal in the story is all "air bag".

Happy Friday Folks!

Made it through another week! With all the crap going on here, I either had to..

1. quickly adopt a new attitude to deal with the BS until I can come up with an exit strategy

2. have a stroke..

I chose 1.

So far, so good!!

Hope all goes will with you Son, Tommy

Y'all have a great weekend!

Greetings Gurus,

Good day to be workin' from home.  Waiting for the big snow to hit later today.  Forecast is 6"-8" for us poor suckers here in northwest Indiana.  The terms "lake effect" or "lake plume" probably don't mean much to most of you, but to those of us in the Great Lakes region, we just love 'em!  angry5

Ah well, can't really complain about the winter we've had.  Wrapping up a busy week at work today, then the Mrs. and I will be joining some fellow Vette club members for a dinner/comedy show tonight.

Stay safe and healthy!

Tommy - hope all goes well for your son.

Ron

Big hooplaaa going on in Nebraska......The girls from Burke were one point ahead at half time when the Columbus coach mentioned that the Burke team should be wearing white. A technical was called on Burke and Columbus made both and went on to win 62-47.

Columbus is getting there azzes handed to them for taking advantage of Burke who were raffling off the pink uni's for Make a Wish after the game........Niiiiicccceeeee!

It is a rule that the home team wear white and Burke did not clear it before the game but to wait till half when Columbus was behind to call attention to it was cheap....... Comon Man!

We owned that car for 28 years. The last owner put the side exhaust on it. I sold it with 69K on it, now it has 90K. We drove that car all over the U.S.A. never a problem in all those years. We were out west in '95 when they were having a heat wave, and the AC blew cold all the time we were in it. Everything worked as it was designed, I wish I could say that about our LT4!

Glad to hear things went well for your son.
I think Matt is onto something about sleeping till April or so.... We had very spring like weather here last week, now it's definitely winter, supposed to be 17 tomorrow night. I woke up to light snow this morning. Geez - I better not get sick again, just getting over the third round of it.
On top of that, I'm itching all over - think that might have to do with this episode of "Infested" that I'm watching on Animal Planet...

OK. I'll bite.

What game you playing that pays so well?

Or are you calculating how much you didn't loose
then call it a win?

No, that's what I take out the door minus what I brought in the door.

I play more video poker machines than the others. That particular win had a 4 of a kind with one dollar bet than paid $160.

IF (big if) I'm on a hot streak, I play at least $1 per hand or max a penny slot at $1.25, that's the only way to win bigger bucks.
If I'm not on a hot streak, I can easily play a nickel at a time to just goof off for an hour or so.

The peaks are far fewer than the valleys, but you have to take advantage of them when it feels right.
