Up early, couldn't sleep.....youngest daughter called, late yesterday and some girl ran a red light and Ultragirl smacked her. Everybody was ok and buckled up. No airbag deployment.

We are not on the best of terms with our insurance company as it is so we are hoping the report states that the other girl got a ticket for running the red light. I am waiting for it to post so I can download it and read it. Geeeeezzz, why not? Always something......

Got plenty of work going on but we are getting it done, I think we are anyway....I put the seafoam in the fuel TB and will pick up a bottle of Tekron when I get a chance.

Be careful out there Guru's.......

Good Morning CGs!

Sorry to hear about the accident, Marcus. Glad everyone is ok, though. I bet your insurance agent is gonna loooove this one So did the other girl also drive your daughters tire against the curb repeatedly?

Got pretty chilly here last night but didn't bother me. I like cool weather at night, it helps me sleep. Wife said we're turning the heat on tonight It was 65 in the house when I woke up this morning, probably a few degrees cooler in the upstairs bedrooms without as good of circulation.

Today is my last day of work and I took a few days off for another mini staycation. I have to burn some vacation days at work or else I lose them. So taking a couple days here and there makes them stretch out throughout the year and gives me a nice break.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Lol on the scuffed tire Matt.....I was just talking to her about that the other day......Honey you don't have to bang into the curb to know where you are when parking.......If it was Ugirls fault she would be so dumped by the insurance co. I just had to go yell at the suits at State Farm to be able to keep her on our insurance after the last little incedent.......and your day is coming Matthew....when you hand over the keys to your babies.........its scary.

Greetings! Arghhhhh, sorry to hear about the accident, Marcus - indeed, glad that everyone is OK. Warmer today, but still windy as hell - sounds like we have a few days of this on the way.

Have a good day, all!

Maybe you'll actually get something done on this one.

Good morning everyone (but Matt)

Cool spell here in the deep south. Next few days should be nice though a little breezy. Wifey is complaining of back pain after the cordizone injections. She has the meds to help a little. I'm on duty with my nurses and housekeeping uniforms pressed and ready. I'm on a permanent staycation and don't get all the things done that I want to get done. Seems it's always sumthin.

I remember when my son first got his license. He wanted to drive to school, I say "No !" Wife (at the time) says, "OK." Both kids get into the car, drive to school, pick up their friends and head for the beach ! First day of having the car and they cut school ! Such fun.

If it still is going on, that $75 also gets you a SCCA membership for the year, at least the one I teach in does.

Thanks also here, Bill. My daughter just got her license. My son went through that up in richmond, VA. Now its her turn and she'll just have turned 16. It will be a good course for her. My son learned much!

Marcus, good to see your daughter did not get hurt. Its always a worry with them on the road and the experience factor.

On another note, I recently picked up a new RX7, came in on the transporter from California. Pretty gone over in terms of rebuilt/built rotary, tranny, rear end. Turbo is a T3/T4 hybrid from what I'm told and I'm learning the systems. I've had rotaries since '99 but this turbo is a monster. Now I've got three I think that's enough for right now, but this one should be fun.

Afternoon guys....it's been a busy freaking day. Sorry about the accident Marcus, I hope it all works out with the insurance company. I'd like for my grandson to take that course, Bill.

I'm taking the wife's Bonneville down to our body shop guy. I talked to him and figured that he's encountered such things and he's willing to look at it.

Got to go for now.

I bit the bullet on bedroom carpet today. More C2 parts bucks spent on stupid shit.

I did find out that they'll tear up the old carpet & pad, haul it away for $45. That's cool cause I REALLY didn't want to do it.

In 1972 I went to Czechoslovakia. The country at that time was like 20 years behind the times. The men, clean shaven, collar shirts, slacks, the women all wore dresses. Here I come boppin in with long hair and loud clothes. I stuck out wherever I went. My grandmother asked my mom if I was a girl because of the hair and clothes thing. I got strip searched in Prague because I looked freaky. Cool thing was there was no drinking age so at 16 I hit the local watering hole every day. Sometimes twice. I drank home made apple wine from the root cellar at my grandmothers mountain home. I fell in love like three times while I was there. It opened my eyes to the world. Then I came back to the States. I liked Europe so much I went back for almost 3 1/2 more years from Jun 1974 to Nov 1977 in the USAF. I have some pics of me from that era but I ain't gonna show em. No way, no how. At least not right now.
