The cornering lamps might be good for gramps on his Buick or Caddy, but IMO they're pretty much pointless on a 'vette.
I had painted the amber front side markers with Nightshade so they are not really visible in daylight.
I wired the cornering lamps into the blinker circuit, and think the extra flashing light will be helpful, especially with today's typical distracted driver.
With some amber 1156 LED's and their minimal current draw the on/off interval is the same as stock.
Of course now I need to put LED's and load resistors in the front, also. The instant on/off is so much better.
The foil covered unit seen tucked in the bumper is the ballast for the HID fog lights.

Good mod! I would like to install the turn signals on the mirror like newer imports, but don't want to do the work...lol.

So that would be blink instead of bling?

Nice work.

Well, I got my 1157 LED's and load resistors today, found a suitable location for the resistor, modified it and mounted it with JB weld and a pop rivet to the metal frame end.
They do get hot. It took me longer than an hour .

Looks cool.

I would actually like to put signals on my hood/fender side. I like the idea of them being half way down the car; kinda like the mirror idea.

I like the mirror idea with the red LED arrow. Get peoples attention a little better especiallys ince all my brake lights/tail lights are hte same and red. Most cars are red/yellow and on separate circuits...Smh...Oh well....

Cool mod and I am going to look into that mirror turn signal mod. ))

Easy to do.

I put LED turn signal indicators in the overhead console on my Chev van in 1978, they were still working 3 years ago when I sold it.
No extra electronics, just 12v LEDs from Radio Shack.

I also have LEDs in the C4 dash for the alarm and one that shows when the engine fans are on (manual switch).

You can get a 4 LED, amber marker lamp to use for turn signsls for $7.95 and mod it the way you want.

I put brake lights in my side vents. I decided I liked the 3/4 view brake lights better than signals, since they are only visible to someone beside one of the rear quarters. They let people know I am braking even if they are not directly behind me.
