So anyway awhile back I tried to jump off my car, the batery sparked and fried two relays behind the battery. The fuel pump relay and the oil pressure relay or is it the sending one.

Now it wont start again. Trying to get codes with a scanner I got to rent. Paperclip method isn't working for me lol.

Any idea why it's not starting after that stupid battery "fried" stuff.

Everything else is good and cranks over. Got a new battery and it's great

It's soooo close to starting. Just one little thing is missing and it's NOT fuel. I don't know if it's spark or air. Plugs are getting spark. ugh......

Help me....

Hope not may have fried the computer.

You need spark, fuel, air, compression for the motor to fire? I'm assuming it was running before the jumpstart? It is possible the relays weren't the only electrical components that were damaged.

Go back to basics...what is the fuel pressure? Do you have sufficient and consistent spark?

Was anything else messed with?

How long ago did you fry the relays and how has it been running since then?

you hurt something.

When you turn on the key, does the Service Engine Soon light even light up? It's on the DIC above the radio... where things like low coolant and such light up.

IF that isn't lighting, you have hurt the ECM, or, the power to it.

check all fuses, check all fusable links - these are wires that are designed to fail at high current to protect things like the engine controller. They are red with black bulges on them and they all connect to the black junction box behind the battery.

You will more than likely need a Digital Volt Meter to resolve this... and some extra wire to run test leads.

I would make a probe from a paper clip and length of wire. If you can, solder the paper clip to the wire and start probing the connections.

The ECM is under the passengers side dashboard. there is a plastic cover, held in by two 10mm bolts, IIRC. From there, the computer will come right out and the harness is rather accessable at this point.

I assume you have the Helm Service Manual? You will need to to probe the harness... make sure you are testing the right points.

Did you clear the Auto Lock out security feature by unlocking the door with your key? I know this is "out there" but this happened to me when I first owned my Vette. Good luck.

that was something they did on the earlier C4s... I think his has the chip on the key which replaced that.
