Gonna start a thread for my new engine build.
Let me start by saying I am aiming for 450rwhp NA and 750rwhp on 12-15lbs of boost. Will throw on a 18-20lb pulley just for fun since that what my 3inch pulley should net.

Mamomortors works heads
235cc runners. Biggest exhaust valve he could fit.
Flow numbers to come soon.

Correct alignment Yella Terra 1.6 shaft mount rockers.

Hoping to have everything for my short block by Janaury as my block will take a while to come in then off to the machine shop.

Just before he left but all him. Didn't get them until after the split but he finished them a few days after his resignation.

Wait until you see the flow numbers and valve sizes.

Cam should be in next week as well and will post up the specs. It is has quite a bit more lift than my current cam but should lope less.

Looks like a nice build.

Who did you get the Yella Terra rockers from? They are very good rockers but availibility has been spotty in the US.

You have a cyl head capable of making 700+HP N/A if that's what you wanted to do.....

However, being that you intend to put a blower on it, I wouldn't worry too much about what kind of power it makes N/A. What ever it makes N/A is not relevent to anything with the FI power... It's not like you make 400HP N/A and want to add 300 with boost.... it dosen't work like that. With FI or power adder engines you build (cam/induction/compression) to an overall power and RPM goal.

I just want to caution you that looking at it any other way is a recipie for disappointment on one end or the other.

Mr. Mamo has a good hookup on the rockers. They seem like great pieces compared to my current scorpion set.

With the increase in cubes and cam size I am just guesstimating possible NA power. Doubt I will even get around to dyno tuning NA and just street tune since I will just be looking to break in the motor. 3in pulley should net 19-22lbs. Thinking this will net 850rwhp and if it does I will step down 2 or so steps to get 750 or so.

Everything is aiming for blower setup but numbers are always fun.

Won't be disappointed in any numbers as long as it puts a smile on my face.

On a sidenote crank, rods, and pistons are all in and will have pics next week when I head to the parents house where they are sitting eagerly to be opened.

Cam specs:
227/239 .616/.606 on 114+4

Valves:
in: 2.125
ex: 1.625

65cc chambers making it 9.31 cr

valve seats are cut to 47* and bowls blended.

Max RPM is 6700 with 6500 shift point.

But on the bright side more parts came in and I started fabbing a few needed pieces.
First the rest of the driveline hardware.
Got a flowkooler after they were recommended to me.

Other fun was my decision to kill part of my K member to go to a larger crank pulley and smaller SC pulley if needed and make changing the belts easier. That means front Coilovers.
As I have an 85 I will be following LD85's example on that other forum with QA1's and fabbed towers. While apart new bushings and the arms getting powdercoated seem in order.

Cant recall if I have posted.

I have a worked over HSR port matched and hogged out to nearly fit my heads matched to a TPIS 58mm tb.

ECM is a 24x setup with their timing cover, see pics, coil on plug system using the 411 pcm from an ls1 camaro/trans am. Sequential fuel injection, coil on plug, 3 bar MAP sensor, dual bank O2 sensors. Running 83 lb injectors on 93.

You know just stock stuff.

Man I need more time off work to hang out in the shop.

Finished painting the rear. Gas tank and carriage are going in next visit.

Resized Image

I remember a post about not being able to use the big optima batteries. I have to cruise control so no issues here.
Will be using both the time and side posts.

Resized Image

Just needed a little trimming.

Resized Image

Gauge cluster is made and braced. Off to powdercoating it goes.

Resized Image

Also finished up the center gauges and just need to finish cutting holes out for the switches and off it goes to powdercoat also.

Resized Image

I did some talking and thinking and bit the bullet.
Intercooler and Meth it is.
AIS makes a very sexy 3qrt underhood meth tank

Resized Image

and Julio over and Alky control has a bitching meth controller setup that ties into my existing 3bar map sensor.

Another trip another round of progress.

Start with getting the gas tank in and planning fuel pump location and line routing.
Plan is to run the fuel lines along the passenger side.

Resized Image

Then I modified my new fan shroud to fit snuggly with my radiator. This is a BIG dual 12in spal setup.

Resized Image

Sitting in front of this setup will be my behemoth of an A2A intercooler. 28x8x3.5 core.

Resized Image

This I mocked up my gauge clusters. Small 3 had small tilts to aim towards the driver.

Resized Image

Then the biggest feat of all was first SC mock up.
Don't mind discharge orientation. I hadn't rotated it yet.

Resized Image

But something didn't look right.
Took apart the supercharger. Painted the compressor and taking the discharge to be powdercoated.

Resized Image

Resized Image

Then I had some time left over so I installed my meth tank and pump.

Resized Image

Resized Image

T56 came back from GForce. Once the new rear gets here I will get it in and measure for a new driveshaft.
Need to mount catch can and oil cooler.
Weld tabs on the IC.
Headlights are almost done.
Still working on the wiring mess but getting closer.

All in all I am shooting for July for first drive.

Another weekend. Another round of progress.
This weekend was 1 step forward, 2 steps back.

First was mocking up the fuel system. Didn't get any pictures but ordering the last of my needed AN fittings today.
10AN from tank to pump to firewall. split to 2 6AN for each rail. 6AN from rails to AFR and a single 6AN back to fuel tank.
Need a 90 for my FP gauge sensor but this thing looks like an alien.
Resized Image

Supercharger is back and all together.
Resized Image

Only thing missing is the alternator. AC delete bracket and tensioner powdercoated and fitting like a charm.
Resized Image

Little size reference for IC. Using a 4in 60* coupler with a slight lean looks like it will clear the hood. Getting the brackets welded on this week then the end tanks with be coated black and core lightly painted black with a possible symbol/phrase. Any help here? Have 8x28 to deal with.
Resized Image

When I started this build I planned to see how long the D36 would last. Then I said screw it and ordered a hammerhead 12bolt rear in 33spline from StreetShop Inc. This meant the rear must come out.
Resized Image
Resized Image

This will make it easier to do the rear coilovers aswell.
While the rear is out the rear spindles will be taken apart coated and new bearings installed.

Well another trip another round of progress.

First started by disassembling the rear spindles. Man they were nasty. 100k miles of grime an a blown ujoint caked up.
Resized Image
Resized Image

Soaking
Resized Image

and pressure blasted. Next they are getting powdercoated like everything else. Have new wheel bearings going in.
Resized Image

Next I moved onto making AN fuel lines. This was a MAJOR pain in the ass. Turns out Redhorse fittings that are turns (45*, 90*, 120*) are SLIGHTLY larger than the actual AN size. This means the wrenches will not fit. Had to improvise with a few other wrenches.
10AN feed from tank to pump to split.
Resized Image
Resized Image

Split goes from 10AN to dual 6AN. Each rail is fed then looped back to each side of the regulator. Single 6AN return.
Resized Image

Wrapped and installed my headers with DEI titanium wrap.
Resized Image

Then worked on the Charge pipe.
Rough fit
Resized Image

Little more trimming or boot and pipe and drilled the holes for the meth injection. It goes off for powdercoating aswell.

Nice build.

I've had the same thing with Earl's, Aeroquip and others.
Doesn't make much sense to have to put a steel wrench on a new aluminum fitting but...........

If I had known I wouldn't have spent $50 on AN wrenches but it is what it is.

IIRC, the AN wrenches always fit the hose end fitting but not the adapters or 90 degree connectors. Just did a dry sump pump where none of the 6 adapters could be removed with an AN.

Yea, pisses me off every time, you need one AN and one steel wrench.

Ever used the AN adjustable wrench?
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-900122

Think it would cover both bases.

Interesting, might have to get one.
My AN set is from Summit. Luckily, Summit is here in Reno.

Sidenote: In the last 10 years, I've switched from SS to the blue push-on hoses on the race cars. But the fittings are still anodized.
