Anyone use it? I've got a no-start problem on my 1994 Le Sabre. ( Yea, I know-why not just junks it?) It's still a nice car with 87k one owner.

Injectors won't fire, no pulse, I'm at a dead end.

Thinking about a short subscribe to Alldata for this problem.

Thanks
Joel

My buddy has it at his shop and likes it. Unfortunately I have no experience so I can't comment. Isn't it pretty cheap for a one car or one month subscription?

That's what we used at school in the auto shop. At first we had it locally (actually installed on the computer), but then yearly updates got to be more than the school could afford. Not sure what they do now, as budget constraints are killing our school system.

Anyway, I always thought it was pretty good. I never really got the feel on trying to find stuff though, seemed like I always had to ask the auto teacher to help me find what I needed. Once I found it, it was pretty easy to follow. Not sure what a temp sub costs, but it should help you.

I think you should start a thread in other vehicles and we will see if we can help you.

Looks like the subscription is for one year as the shortest time allowed. Less than $30.00 for the sub for one car is great but bearable.

I haven't even looked on the E-bay for any manuals, I honestly never even think about looking there.

I'm going to look around for a used ECM for the car today, depending on price, just as a "let's try it gamble"

Thanks for the replies

Thanks for the link. I use a Actron CP9145 scanner on mine and it reads good as far as I can tell. It always shows any codes I've had in the past(only had 2 so far).

Thanks

How about

1994 Lesabre Service Manual Information

I have the service manuals for my 1994 lesabre, if anyone out there needs anything out of them, I have no problem looking and faxing some stuff out to you. I know the manual will cover from 1992-1996, but I'm not sure about other models

I had some thoughts on the Alldata products...

If you buy the professional grade stuff, it's good... but the stuff they sell at the parts stores for $20-30 is not so good.

I bought one for my 92 coupe right after I got it and was highly disappointed.

First off, the product was clumsy to install, lots of security hoops to jump through. Then, the images and diags were really lame... I was not impressed.

Thanks Andy. I was suspecting that was the case when I saw two different levels.
I'm going to pass on the Alldata, and shop around for a paper FSM.

I found a 1994 LeSabre at the local yard with damage to the r/s rear, this told me the car was running prior. Pulled the PCM and it was a reman unit,so that was another plus. Installed it and the car started instantly, runs perfect as usual.
Now I've got to decide on buying another reman unit for approx $230 or go back and hunt for another unit in the yard for a spare. Since this is the car I drive to Chicago to visit my daughter, I WILL have a spare just in case.

Just wanted to up-date.

Thanks for the replies

What is the part number? Many interchange. Many of the ecms in cars of that vintage are remans. Often they can be found on eBay cheap.

Part #16183247 for 1994 and 1995 only, H body which is the olds delta line, Buick LeSabre/Park Avenue line and Pontiac Bonnevile. Yard gets $40 each with a 45 day return. There's two more cars there so I'll go back and pull those out next for a spare.

Of course all this has just jacked up the wife telling me we need a "newer" car. Mid 90's are still late model for me.

$40 is quite reasonable. I wouldn't be too worried about them going bad, though. I've had an extra ecm on the shelf for several years without needing it other than testing purposes.
