Well, I went and did it. I bought the Lacrosse. As I was walking down to the dealer this morning this thought crossed my mind, "Oh, crap ! I'm getting old, I'm buying a Buick !"

So far I am really enjoying it.

As for the name, the car is Pearl White, and "Pearl" was Janis's biggest album.

Very nice. As far as the "old" comment, I doubt it...Buick has been seeking a younger market for a while now and that's a sharp car.

It is a 2011. I have managed to get the garage door opener set up and the Bluetooth connected to my cell phone. Lots more to figure out.

These are very comfortable and quiet cars—for us, the hardest thing to get used to was the length to width ratio. From the quite successful Epsilon II platform, only now being replaced by the E2XX architecture.

A "mere" 280 bhp out of those 3.6 liters—enjoy!

It is incredibly quiet, I noticed immediately that I was playing the radio at a much lower volume.

And plush, like riding on a nice leather easy chair.

At night, the interior has a lot of really cool LED lighting. Looks like the Enterprise.

Buick took aim at Lexus... and from all I hear, has come real close to nailing it.
