As an addendum to my post yesterday, I wore the earring for about 8 years, until one morning I got out of the shower and was drying my hair, the towel caught it and I tore it out. I left it out to let my ear heal, and just never put it back in.

I'm heading out the door to go finish up those cabinets. Probably an all day ordeal.

Have a great day guys.

Hidey-ho! Last warm-ish day for a while, a while perhaps being months. It is what it is, and I will relish the absence of yard work. I never had an earring, figured I needed one like I needed another hole in my head :-P

Have a good day, all!

Probably still would be wearing it, if I hadn't torn it out of my ear! I told people "I wanted an earring back in the day when it wasn't cool/acceptable to have one. I was a real rebel back in the day, not so much today. Never did the tattoo thing though, although I thought real hard about it.

Marcus, I started out with a stud, but progressed to a gold ring. That's what got caught in the towel and got ripped out.

Sanding, sanding and then a little more sanding. Then spray, fill cup, spray and then a little more spraying. Sand, sand spray spray. That's been the morning so far. I've applied three gallons of lacquer this morning, and been through five sheets of sandpaper. Just sitting here waiting for the last coat to dry, so I can determine if I'm done or if I need to put on another coat. The pantry cabinet took a gallon and a quarter by itself, it's a big son of a gun.

The air has finally cleared in here.

Gris, their hassling me just made me more convicted to wearing it. You know, at the time, If they had just come and talked to me, instead of going behind my back plotting against me, I, more than likely, would have taken it out.

Ya, I always yield to the whims of society ... not.

Long haired, ponytail wearing bearded dude in his 60's. The reason for this is not that I'm a rebel. I just hate the routine of haircuts and shaving. I look a lot like I did when I was younger except I look older.

I had my plans laid out for today and tomorrow when ........Ring ........ Ring ....... Looks like I'll be doing what I planned for today tomorrow and what I planned for tomorrow whenever the hell I get to it. Business duty called. One of the main reasons I want Sue to retire is so I can retire. All I want to do is hang around the house and fiddle about.

By the way, if Sue retires she won't stay home. She'd go nuts fiddling all about. I look forward to one day when there will be peace in the valley.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm sure that lady hasn't forgotten the mess she caused you over the earring and how hugely she showed her rear - it probably took a lot for her to call you up. Or, we could go with senility on her part and that she's forgotten all about it. Still gives you a grin to have someone call you wanting your services when previously they though you weren't capable for one reason or another and they get to eat crow.
Similar happened to BF when he was in school.. a teacher got on him for going to shop class and told him he'd never amount to anything for doing that and for wearing worn out t-shirts. She didn't understand when she saw him he was wearing stuff he was rebuilding engines in and now makes more than she does.
One more day Gurus then the weekend will be upon us - moving truck loaded - will empty it Friday afternoon then start refilling with my junk. What fun.

Alright, you Gurus are all old enough to go get your ears pierced....don't even have to get a note from mom. I had my ears pierced in college. It was cool then. Took them out once I was about 23. Guess it was time to grow up.

Called the ins co today and took insurance off the beast....time to go to sleep. Back to the oodi. They are screwing around with the buyback paperwork. I think they were overwhelmed and ill prepared to deal with it. Hopefully early December now. I'll still buy the Honda and just float the two for a month. I can handle that.

Hope everyone had a great day!

Marcus, the funny thing is, when she asked how much she owed me, I told her "Nothing, I really didn't do much." She says, "Oh, yes you did. You saved my sanity." Then proceeded to write me a check for $50 for my 20 minutes of being there.

I got all done with the spraying of the lacquer. Got packed up and got home in good time. Didn't realize I had put in almost 7 hours there today, in just that. That's what happens when you start off at 7:30 and work right through lunch time.

I'm still processing this in my mind. Somehow I missed the closing part. I'm happy for both of you.

ALSO A TYPICAL RESPONSE BY SOMEONE WHO SHALL REMAIN NAMELESS:-)

MYSELF, I'M RATHER CONVENTIONAL; NO EAR RINGS, NO TATTOOS, AND MY ONLY PIERCINGS WERE BY GRENADE FRAGMENTS. STILL GOT SOME OF THEM, THOUGH---
