My 74 coupe has a solid bumper. My understanding is it as split originally. The vin says 74 for sure. Is it possible it was early production and used a left over 73. Or later production and used a 75. Or maybe other owner switched it out. Cause he did paint it

Thanks

A stock 74 bumper should look like this:

73 was still a chrome rear bumper.

If you have a solid bumper it's possible the previous one was damaged and replaced.

Do you have a picture?

Switching those out was common back in the day. Those bumper covers got brittle and cracked.

It was a trendy thing to do. Made them look newer.
