Howdy! The sun is actually making an appearance today, seems odd. Hopefully it will dry out a bit today, as the lawn is starting to look like a jungle after a week of rain and drizzle. Marcus is welcome to come and do a few laps around the yard.

Have a good day, Gurus!

The end of the month is near. Where did April go? School will be out soon too, not that that makes much difference to me.

Cool, cloudy and damp this morning in KC. This afternoon, Rosie and I will go over to #3s house and I'll get started on the shock/strut replacements.

Thought I might try and take in a Royals game, but I'll probably just watch from home, it's going to be cold and damp, and I'm just not in the mood to sit through that, and not even sure if I brought along enough of the right type of clothing for it either.

I must admit, I really enjoyed the swim meet yesterday. Been a long time since I was at one. I volunteered to time (they have electronic timing, but use two hand held watches as backup/verification on each lane) the neat part of timing is, you are right in the middle of the action, interacting with the swimmers, getting wet and seeing the swimming close up. I really enjoy talking to the kids and encouraging them. At the end of the meet I had, at least three kids come up to me and thank me for encouraging them, cheering them on and praising them for there efforts. Made me feel real good that the youth still craves that type of attention. My GD told them "That's my grandpa." And said it in a very sincere and proud way.

Letty, I saw where you got the results of the MRI. I hope they can now get things worked out for you.

Well, I trust everyone here will have a great day.

Good Morning CGs!

Cool and dreary here today. Cloudy and they call for rain later.

Last night I had a chance to finally install the new ignitor assembly for the hot water heater. It's been going bad for a while and I've been nursing it along for a while. $100 damn dollars for that part, and that was the online cost. Otherwise it's about $150 at the parts store. Ugh. But it fired right up with the new part, so that's good.

Helped mom with a few things around the house yesterday, today I'm working around the ol' homestead.

Brad, our grass is looking pretty long, but it's also green. This is the first year we've had a company do our fertilizer. We got a deal by combining lawn service with BIL and FIL's houses, so everyone wins. The cost was $210 for 6 applications of various fertilizers. That's about the cost of bagged fertilizer if we did it ourselves so it's a wash and I don't have to do anything. Plus, last year the fertilizer we bought at the store was bad and burned our lawn. It wasn't improper use, same thing happened to FIL and neighbor with the same brand. The fertilizer company this year guarantees the application/fertilizer so we should be safe.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

On a side note, I found out why Marcus' jeans are always dirty even though he doesn't actually plant anything:

...new granite countertops and all new pulls and hidden hinges on the cabinet doors like the ones you put on the uppers.

We took out the old tub and shower surround in the bathroom off the kitchen an are in the process of putting in this tub and wainscoting and Onyx.....the tub is white but the light was bad in the pic.

Geez y'all look so freakin' busy. I'm tired and don't feel good, started to not come to the body shop today but he promised no sanding lol. Instead it's been a day of putting up a bazillion tools that were strewn all over, and helping him tinker with the mustang. I know why I am not a Ford fan. That thing has been a real huge pain in the ass. I hate it.
Tee, the MRI results showed I had an inflamed tendon whatever it's called in the butt cheek area, has my sciatic and scaroiliac (sp?) nerves jacked, another muscle with issues, and inside the ball and socket joint itself is some bad bruising. Additionally the MRI showed a quarter sized cyst or something on my uterus. Geez, I'm not old enough to be falling apart yet. Doc appointments all set up, got some shot in the hiney yesterday, going for the hip injection in a couple weeks, the gyno for the other end of May.
Nice clawfoot tub Marcus, our new new house has one too. I also had an old one from the cousin's house I was going to use that I now need to sell. For mine however I saw one painted black with silver swirly pattern on it that i'd like to do for ours, it also had silver feet. The bathroom is black, grey, white, silver as well.
Had hoped to get the storm mess cleaned this weekend but shows rain for four days in a row. friday's almost over, it's beer time...

She had all kinds of injections and stuff done which did not help much and I took the bone cruncher route......after a long time it just all went away....for both of us.....has not been back...... knock on wood....

I'm bout to get some chiro visits scheduled for the sciatica mess - that's driving me nuts at the moment. That lady is magic, she can just touch you somewhere and know what's wrong. Always feel better when I leave. Possibly lining up some massage visits for the muscle discomforts, too. I dread the injections, I'm told those reallllly hurt. Says on google sometimes they knock you out - I'd rather not be but still have to have a driver the nurse told me.
Plans are to quit trying to be wonder woman and take it easy till I get the shot at least

A NICER THAN EXPECTED DAY, THE SUN ACTUALLY CAME OUT FOR A LITTLE WHILE. ALL SORTS OF BAD WEATHER EXPECTED TONIGHT; THEY ARE HANDING OUT SANDBAGS IN MUSKOGEE, MOVING STUFF TO HIGHER GROUND IN TAHLEQUAH. GLAD WE LIVE ON THE SIDE OF A HILL ;-)

AND IN CLOUD-CUCKOO LAND THE NATIONAL SOCIALIST PARTY’S NEWSPAPER OF RECORD, NYT, WILL NO LONGER USE THE TERM “FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION” FOR FEAR OF OFFENDING THE MUTILATORS. THE ASSOCIATED PREVARICATORS HAVE QUICKLY FOLLOWED THE PARTY LINE WITH THE EUPHEMISTIC “GENITAL CUTTING” AS THE POLITICALLY CORRECT TERMINOLOGY. MEANWHILE, THE ONLY TV NEWS NETWORK NOT TOTALLY CONTROLLED BY THE LEFT IS BEING DESTROYED BY A WITCH HUNT.

LETTY, I HOPE YOU GET ALL THAT STUFF RESOLVED BEFORE IT DRIVES YOU CRAZY.

I dealt with it for a year and a half. Almost sold the vet couldn't sit in it. I was out at the gun club shooting trap and had to get on my hands and knees to pick up my spent shells. Another shooter walks up and says you need a chiropractor. I said I don't like quacks.
He left his card on my front seat. Saw a lot of dr. No success. Called the chiropractor. Saw him 2x a week for 2 months. Pain almost totally gone. Learned to stretch exercise.
2 years ago doing great now. My chiropractor is older and doesn't like to give you false hope. Following his guidelines I can go through life so far pain free.

Good luck I have felt your pain

Well, I got the shocks and stunts installed. Took me about 2 1/2 hours. 30 minutes on the rear shocks and about an hour and fifteen on the first strut and only about 45 minutes on the second side. Think I should have bought the sway bar end links as I think they are shot too. On the test drive, there was still a little creak and crack, which they say is, more than likely caused by them.

I'll include your issues in my prayers, Letty.

Bone crunchers have their place. When all the MDs want to do is give you drugs, I want real relief without the zombie feeling. Even the ortho back guy told me to try the chiropractor for my tingly toes.

Mojo, Letty - hope they do the trick for you!

Well-done, Tom - hope the shock job doesn't send you to the chiropractor, too ;-)
