Howdy! If we doubled today's high temp, it would be far short of 90. But it looks like things should start to improve tomorrow. The bar for improvement is set pretty low at this point.

Have a good day, all!

Morning guys....cool, cloudy and damp here in KC. Back home 18" of snow is on the big melt, looking for upper 50s today. Even with those temps, melting will take a while. But the desert out there is like a big sponge and will absorb 90% of that water.

I think we will head west here pretty soon. We'll stop at FIL house so we will get back mid to late afternoon. Electricity was restored early this morning, about 3am, so we'll be good.

I trust you all will have a great day.

Good Morning CGs!

Hope everyone is safe and sound after all of the storms.

Anyone heard from BillH lately?

When is Tommy's cruise over?

Not much to report here. More gloomy weather, that's about it.

Hope everyone has a great day!

This is a long hiatus for Bill....he sometimes takes a few weeks off but I am worried he may have given up on us.....or maybe not..... He cannot give up until his C2 is done and he is driving it.....

Tommy is on another Cruise......? Holy moly.....they must like that shipboard life.....let's see...nothing to do and all the exotic food you could ever want and women in skimpy clothing...... what's not to love?

Sun is shining and we had some snow flakes this morning but on the warm up now...... still to wet to start up with the farmers so I will spend the day working in the house....we just put up the big sheet of Onyx in the master shower this morning.....so that is all coming together nicely.... I put some base shoe on and tomorrow the plumbers and the electricians will descend on us in a flurry of activity....

Keep moving forward Guru's....

I was just wondering yesterday how Bill's '67 is coming along. Hope we get an update one of these days.

Well, we got home late afternoon. About 4 miles east of town there were about 20 power poles broken off about 8 of the them were sticking on the road.

Pulling into the neighborhood I noticed we weren't without a little damage when we arrived. Nothing like both next door neighbors though. So as soon as we were done unloading, we got to cleaning up. Still had a LOT of snow even though the temps were melting it very quickly.

Two of the three trees in the front were basically unscathed, the third one had a couple large limbs broken off. A couple big ones were in the driveway and #2 and the boys had been over and moved them out of the way so we could put the car in the garage. One limb had broken off and was laying on the porch roof and somewhat hanging on the gutter. Snow on the roof was about 6-12" deep so I was not wanting, too badly, to climb up there to remove the limb. But, I could also see that the melting water was running over the top of the gutters and nothing coming out of the downspouts. So I did climb up on the roof, removed the limb and then did clean the gutters out....holy crap the gush of water that came out of the downspouts nearly washed me off the roof.

Then Rosie and I started cutting up and hauling the limbs to the street, where the city will come by and pick them up. The neighbor to the south had a limb off one his trees land in our yard, so we cut it up and hauled it out as well.

They called classes off again for tomorrow as there are still people out in the country without electricity, the roads are very muddy and the school has, at least, another day just to get the yards to where it is safe for the kids.

It was a nasty storm.
