Howdy! We may get golf in tonight, in between deluges. Was rudely awakened about 3:30AM by loud thunder, rain and some hail. But I persevered and managed to get back to sleep. The high today will be 85, and on Thursday it will be 58. That should shut up anyone who thinks it's too hot.

Have a good day, yawlz!

Beautiful morning is SW Kansas. Sunny, no wind and cool, 58. Looking for low 80s.

I'm headed to the church hall. Hook up the trailer that has the junk on it, go to the dump, dump the trailer then head to the 'city' for sheetrock. Our local place doesn't stock 5/8" rock so have to make the run to the 'city'. My pickup would probably haul what we need, but I have been working on plans to put an awning just outside my shop so I can get out of the sun when I work out there. Looked at all sorts of manufactured solutions and came to the conclusion that; 1. Most don't make the size I want 14 x 14. And 2. If they do, I can build one for much less. And 3. What I build will last longer. So, it's a no brainer for me to do it myself.

Golf sucked last night. Had a good time, but the wind that blew all day, got worse as the evening rolled on. We fought 40-50mph winds and gusts, then before we finished, on the last hole, it started sprinkling as we teed off. And before we got to the balls for the second shot, little pellets of hail began pelting us. We grabbed the balls (get you mind out of the gutter) and before we made it to the clubhouse, they were the size of quarters (them little bastisches hurt like heck when they hit you). Once it stopped we had two more rounds of rain, so we didn't even try to finish.

I hope you all have a great day.

Why would you do that for a few minutes of fame on U Tube.......Probably photo shopped anyway....

Tom.....now that was an exciting game of golf....I'd have grabbed my balls and ran for it also........if the wind had been from the right direction it may have helped my slice........

Got the console cover off and started in removing parts to put in new lower and upper tranny shift boxes.....thank goodness for U tube vids on how to do all this.....hope they are not photoshopped.......

Big Tuesday so I'm outa here..... enjoy Guru's.....

ANOTHER DELIGHTFUL MORNING IN THE NATIONS, SUNNY AND COOL. THE CHEROKEES THINK THE WEATHER GODS ARE LULLING US INTO A FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY.

BIG PROJECTS TODAY: GET CANNED DOG FOOD AT WALMART IN TAHLEQUAH; GET OIL CHANGED IN THE TOMATO IN MUSKOGEE. IT'S A TOP DOWN DAY FO' SHO.

LETTY, THE SHOTS DW GOT WERE NOT STEROID BUT SOME SORT OF COLLAGEN DERIVED, OF ALL THINGS, FROM ROOSTER COMBS. THE FIRST ONE LASTED TWO YEARS, THE SECOND HAS LASTED A YEAR SO FAR.

ROOSTER COMBS! REALLY SOUNDS QUACKISH BUT IT WORKS.

Steve, great to hear your heart is good, but yes, what's with no cheese?
Brad, sounds like you have our weather. BTW - that skyjumper dude - nuts. What makes a person grow up and decide they want to do stuff like that? I'm all for thrill seeking but that's pushing it.
Tee - from yesterday - I guess the lidocaine wore off during the night and I had a deep ache in the hip joint area all night so not much sleep. Just enough to get on your nerves. Got up today and seem to be walking and getting around easier. He says this will "cure" this - I can't see that but given that it's an injury as opposed to arthritis, yeah perhaps.
Gris - what I got was a steroid the lady said. Supposed to reduce inflammation. I've not heard of the rooster comb approach. ?

Brad, I'll say no to that.

Today has turned out to be lovely. 86* and sunny. I got a haircut and a workout in. Going to pick up the kids soon, we'll walk home from school. Going out to dinner tonight to celebrate a friend's birthday.

Hope everyone's day went well!

Back from hometown Boston. Had a really nice visit that included eating mass quantities and catching up with friends and family. The main reason we went was to celebrate my nephew's graduation. He is the son of my dearly departed brother. We also spent time with his mom and stepdad. Really great people. Pulled out the 87 Corvette and got it to start. It's been sitting two years and has a couple of gremlins. Told my nephew he should sign up here. He just graduated with a bachelor's degree in robotics engineering with a minor in computer science. Smart kid ..... just like his uncle.

On the cheese he told me that some people have a problem that lower heart rate as they get older. Cheese is the cause. Never heard of this before. So a guy like me that loves spaghetti with cheese, enchiladas, ravioli, lasagna, pizza, Mac and cheese, cheese burgers and on and on. Will just have to live with it for a year to find out.
