ANOTHER HOT HUMID DAY, THANK GOOD FOR AIR CONDITIONING. I HAVE UN-FOND CHILDHOOD MEMORIES OF SUMMER NIGHTS IN TEXAS WHEN IT DIDN'T GET COOL ENOUGH TO GO TO SLEEP UNTIL TWO OR THREE IN THE MORNING.

WE'VE GOT THE ARKIE GRANDSONS COMING OVER FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS; THAT'LL KEEP GRANDMA BUSY. AMAZING HOW MUCH THOSE KIDS CAN EAT :-0

Was talking to the bookkeeper yesterday and he mentioned it was about 1965 that they got AC in their house.....which got me to thinking that was about the same time that my Ma told Pa she wasn't going to spend another Kansas summer without AC in the house. So the old man went to sears and got this big ole window unit and cut a hole in the living room wall and put it in and trimmed around it kind of like in a motel. Wow...what a difference that made. Life would never be the same again.

Was out mowing at 9:30 last night and it was still hot......got it done though.....but wow.....this must be like Florida is in the summer.......

Have a fun weekend Guru's.....

I did not have A/C till I went into the military. Once you have it you never want to go back. Hhhhmmm. A device that lets you control the temperature inside a structure. Fortunately for me and Sue the temp is in the 75 to 78 range. I feel bad for the folks that like 68 and colder in the peak of summer. $$$ Unless you live in L.A. of course.
