The little boy shown below (Jack) is the son of a person (Bob) who I have been friends with since second grade. Both parents had cleared him for a ride—it was his eighth birthday—but it was a surprise to him.

Way to go John! That will make a huge impression. Tommy is right, impressionable years!

This past weekend, Rosie and I went to visit my brother, in the town where I mostly grew up. As we were driving out to my brothers' place, we went by a school where I spent the summer at 'day camp', (my dad was the one in charge). One of his helpers that summer was driving her older brothers' 63 SWC. A couple times I was able to go with her to run errands...my first ride in a Corvette...9 years old. That memory is a vivid today as if it happened yesterday. Rosie was amazed that I remembered that, with such detail, after so many years.
