Good morning. 500 miles for the storm to cover and then it will be our turn. They're expecting a 02:00 AM Sunday morning impact. Nothing quite like a middle of the night hurricane hit. Things that go bump in the night sort of thing. I guess on the positive side you can't see how bad it was/is till daylight. 10 hour event expected. Most of my neighbors are gone. I have two homes where my next door neighbors staying and we will have walkie talkies connecting us. Effects are expected to begin tomorrow AM. Later .....

Happy Friday! The short week has flown by. I see that the hurricane has been downgraded a bit, hope that trend continues. Mojo for all in its path.

Have a good day, all!

Morning guys....Still thinking about you Tommy. You guys keep your heads down. Cool here this morning, but headed toward the low 90s.

There's a Pro Woman's golf tourney over in the 'city' today and a friend has VIP tickets and has invited me over to attend and watch some golf. I got nothing really pressing, so I accepted. Headed over pretty soon.

I pray for all those in this storms path. Please be careful.

Continued wishes for good luck, Tommy.

Neighbor (good friend) called me this morning and asked me to look at his employee's truck because something was wrong. Conveniently it was parked across the street while they were doing a job. Complaint of coolant smell/loss. That's no good. Pulled it in my driveway so I could dig deeper. 08 Nissan Frontier. I could see some coolant but I needed to do a pressure test to verify. Coincidentally, I have a nice stant pressure tester with adapters. Go figure, right Marcus? Found the problem almost immediately. The seam at the metal to plastic tank transition is leaking with heat/pressure. Once the car cooled down the leak stopped and it held pressure. Told him he needs a radiator and to do hoses, cap, thermostat, and a belt at the same time. About $300-350 in parts. Probably about 2 1/2 hours of work. I would have done it but we have a big family wedding this weekend... BIL is finally getting hitched. That's a 3 day event. Still, glad I got to tinker with a car. I haven't done much of that at all lately and I really miss doing it. Fancy new toolbox with all these tools and nothing to work on

Working out now and then some chores to tend to.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matt, some of the Frontiers ('05 up to '10, I think) also had issues with coolant/transmission fluid cross-contamination - may be worth his while to check that as well:

Thanks, Brad. If you remember I had an 06 Xterra that got a new transmission under warranty due to that. I'm very familiar.

Andy's brother and SIL live in Sebring. There's trouble brewing throughout the state. My fingers are crossed. It's hard. I don't want to get hit with this thing but I don't want anybody else to either. Too late for some. The videos I've seen from the islands are unbelievable. My sisters and mother are under the gun too in Sarasota/Bradenton. The final chapter of this wind and rain devil will soon be played out.
