Hidey-ho! The grindstone is whirring - I'm already looking forward to a nap. Gonna be 60 day, a little unusual for this time of year. I may need to have a tasty beverage out on the deck before hitting the nap chair this afternoon.

Have a good day, all!

Morning guys.... Slept in some this morning. Nice start to the day. 36 now headed to low 80s, probable record temps, and windy to boot.

This morning, I'll be prepping the kitchen table for stain and finish. We got it stripped yesterday evening. So this morning, I'll do a little sanding and then stain it. Once that dries I'll start spraying the finish. In the past, I've used a water-based polyurethane... no more. It has not worn well. I'm going with lacquer this time. Can't be any worse and it goes on easier and dries much quicker. I also have a door from the courthouse I am replacing a glass panel with a wood one. I have to match the stain, then remove the glass panel and replace with the wood panel without damaging the trim pieces, not an easy chore as these doors are 100 years old and the wood is VERY brittle...wish me luck. The trim wouldn't be easy to duplicate if I broke it either.

Better get with it. Have a great Monday.

Any day you wake up and feel younger than you are is better than what it could be. My stomach has been blanked up the past several days. Then I remembered I used to feel like this around 10 years ago. Diverticulitis or osis I was informed. One of the two. Back then they told me to stay away from certain types of food to which I pretty much ignored. Some seed, nut or other suggested food to avoid is likely the culprit. It comes and it goes right now. I've been eating a lot of carbs trying to flush that baby out. Several trips a day to the reading room.

Good Evening CGs!

Wife and I went out and did some Christmas shopping today. Picked up a thing or two. I actually bought more things online via Amazon and ebay while shopping than I did at the stores. Go figure.

Worked on the wife's car yesterday. Had to replace a brake caliper that I knew needed to be done but I had to order. In the process I found a torn CV boot. Always something. The car is under warranty for another 2 months so the wife will take that to the dealer for replacement.

Hope everyone had a great day!

Welcome to SoCal... it was 93 on Thanksgiving Day... today? 65. I got up at about 0630 and it was raining and about 58!!

Talk about a shock!

Back to work today... all is good, really. Just normal busy.

Had to get a new phone last night. My Samsung S7 was dying... the modern smart phone dies from heat issues... damnit. Mine was having all sorts of processing problems. Slow to respond, button didn't work... apps were sluggish... ick.

I took a chance, and went with the S8+. apparently, Samsung has taken the time to improve heat soak issues and the like. We shall see.

Black Friday I bought cruise excursions on discount (10% off). On Cyber Monday I bought a box of 6 water filters and a couple of O rings for the house water filter (15% off). I'll take the discounts wherever I find them. Total savings of about $76. Just makes me wonder what those items have to do with Black Friday OR Cyber Monday. Guess it's like Car sales on ANY holiday or celebration, like National Donut Day.

We are blowing out our inventory. We are overstocked and YOU get the savings, today, on National Donut Day. Save like never before ...........

I'm sorry, lol. I altered my brain chemistry a little as a teenager.
