Well, the big snow storm that was supposed to blow through last night and into today just blew. It started blowing hard about 10:30 last night, but, apparently, the snow was all east of us. We got, maybe, a dusting as most. Not going to warm up today...mid 20s for highs. I'll have to run the heater in the shop today.

Church council meeting last night. Everyone was tickled and impressed with the new LED lights in the hall.

Not much else going on. Building some doors and drawers today.Tomorrow cabinet materials are supposed to be here so, I'll start on the little kitchen.

Have a great day guys.

Hidey-ho! The temps are dropping, the roads are icing up, and we're getting a little blast of snow (less than the weather geniuses had predicted earlier in the week). I therefore chose to not participate in today's freeway follies.

Bundle up, Gurus!

CLOUDY AND MILD IN THE NATIONS AT PRESENT, WE'RE SUPPOSED TO HAVE AN OLD FASHION NORTHER COME IN AND DROP THE TEMPERATURE ABOUT 30 DEGREES. THESE WERE A COMMON OCCURRENCE WHEN I WAS GROWING UP IN TEXAS. THE CHEROKEES DO NOT APPROVE OF THIS SCENARIO.

DARLING WIFE IS STILL RECOVERING FROM HER TRIP, BEEN BACK A WEEK TONIGHT. I TOLD HER SUCH THINGS ARE TOUGH ON OLD PEOPLE. AND SHE TOLD ME---:-0

Good Morning CGs!

It's a heat wave here. Woke up this morning and all of the snow is gone! It's 56 now with rain. Hopefully it will clean the salt off of the roadways, as well. With the nice weather I plan on taking down the Christmas lights. Hopefully the rain isn't too obtrusive to that effect.

Stopped by mom's yesterday to fix a few little things. While I was there I walked around the house and in every room she "remembered" something else. I didn't have the tools with me to do all of the projects. So I told her to make me a list so I can come back with the correct items.

Kids going back to school has been relatively painless. Their sleep schedule is still a little out of whack, but nothing too terrible.

I read the article from yesterday's chat about the HOAs. What a crock. That's why we specifically picked a neighborhood that doesn't have one.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Busy day cutting grass and filing business forms online. Tired. Moody Blues concert was excellent. The crowd's average age were like Corvette drivers average ages. Middle age to ancient.

When I read the middle age part I was worried that you wouldn't fit in. Luckily you listed your age group at the end so now I feel better for you

Does that include Yellow C6's from Texas?

The problem? I don't have the time to do the drive...

Shipping costs about the same as a fly-drive, from my estimates.

I am gonna ask on FB... see if anyone is in the area.

I have a shipping quote, the inspectors will be inspecting the C6 today.

Guess that means unless you have the potential purchase properly inspected.

I put the above over here because I didn't want it to become a part of a serious thread. Here .... not so serious.

Long day here. The other night when the lady came by and wanted me to build some candle stands at our church. Last night after the church council meeting, I spoke to Father about what he wanted, so we went over to look. We discussed what he wanted and I came home with a plan. This morning, while I was working on the door and drawer pieces, I get a text from Father asking me to come to the church, as he has to ask me about the candles. So I run up there and he shows me some candle stands he found in a cabinet..."these will work" he tells me. "Great," I tell him, "where are the other two?" "That's the problem, there are only four. Can you make two more?" These are hand turned, by the priest who was here when the current church building was built (1962), and he built all the candle holders, and much of the other church furniture. I told him, I can duplicate them. So I spent most of the day gluing maple and walnut up in the contrasting patterns to match the other four.

I did get most of the cabinet door pieces and the drawer fronts prepped too. I';; try to get the doors finished up tomorrow before the materials come.

It stayed pretty chilly all day and the wind blew, but not as hard as it did when the front moved through last night, and no moisture. To say we got a 'dusting' would be being very optimistic.
