SORTA SUNNY AND NOT AS COLD THIS MORNING, THE CHEROKEES ARE GRATEFUL FOR SMALL FAVORS.

THE AGENDA IS OPEN TODAY; WHO KNOWS WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN---

or can find the 10 Commandments......most have had to be removed from Government buildings because they might offend somebody.......

How about them Vikings......wow they are like kicking some butt this year......I think they play today....... I wonder if Brad knows about this......

about an 1" of snow last night......went into church anyway......the sermon was on being content with the gifts we have..... so true..... but I always want to go faster and cooler...... I think that is my competitive nature...... to keep wanting to get to the next level.......no matter what it is.........when is enough enough? I don't know the answer to that......I guess anytime you deem it so......... pretty heavy chit for so early in the morning.....

I did something weird the other day....... I bought a bottle of Jack Daniels Honey whisky .......... I had seen the ads and was curious what it would taste like....... so I poured myself a shot in a glass neat....... and took a sip.....that is some good sipping whisky ........ smooth and slightly sweet......and the warm glow in my tummy took the edge off a very cold night........I gave some to Uwoman and she really liked it........

after 30 years of self imposed tea-totaling I have given myself permission to have a quite glass of whiskey on occasion ......... just thought you should know........ now I'm thinking of some apple Crown Royal to try next........

Have a great winters day Guru's...... where all the leaves are brown....leaves are brown and the sky is grey....sky is grey......... keep singing it I know you know it.........

Greetings! I set a new sleep-in record for 2018. Sure, it is early in the year, but I think the bar has been set pretty high. Since it is a blistering 1 degree outside, I will just stay tuned to the TV today. Yes, I hear rumors that the Vikings may be playing ;-)

Marcus, I had a little Knob Creek last night, it is very nice. The apple Crown is OK, but I wasn't crazy about it - I liked the vanilla better.

Bundle up, Gurus!

Morning guys...Went to church this morning as GS #3 was part of the liturgy, song leader. It is sunny and seasonably cool this morning. Rosie and I are headed to the 'city' to do some grocery shopping. Talked about taking the Corvette....yes it is pretty nice, but it's not really that nice.

We got kudos in the bulletin for doing the lights in the hall. And father commented on how he liked the candle holders on the Alter and thanked me publicly. The lady that originally asked me to do them caught me before church and wanted to know how much she owed me....."Nothing....it was my pleasure to do them." A couple minutes later she came up and gave me a $50 and said "I know this isn't enough, but thank you." It isn't about money, but it is nice that people recognize your efforts.

Got to go for now. Have a great day gurus.

Tom, helping others give you a warm glow but not in your tummy.

I have a bottle of regular Crown and a special bottle of Johnny Walker put away for my 70th birthday. I never wanted to tell myself I could never drink again so I figured on my 70th I'll take a few pops. My mainstays in the day were Jack or Jim with beer chasers. I didn't stop drinking because I disliked drinking. Who knows, on my 70th I may not want to break my sober streak. Good luck to the Vikes. They're a little overdue.

On a side note, called the number I have for BillH and that number comes back that it has been disconnected or no longer in service. If anyone else has a phone number you might give it a try. I've left him pm's at Corvette Forum also but no reply. I'm hoping for the best.

I have been a Knob Creek fan for many many years. Careful with that 120 though. Or at least know that's what's in your glass if you're gonna sip it. Also Sweet Lucy is a good one, my uncle got rich off his share of that distillery.
Temps here have dropped again, the high today is around 30 but Tuesday's high will be 21 low of 11 and that way the rest of the week. Due to start climbing again toward the weekend. I've been cooped up inside with my whiskey and a project for the paper I've been working on along with a pot of chili.

I sent an email to the address I had for him and it came back "undeliverable". That in itself wasn't a good sign.

I have been talking with his friend Joe out in Reno on the CF PM"s and he says that Bill had a cousin in Texas and she claimed the body and had it cremated and then the ashes were sent back to Pennsylvania to be placed with family. All Bill's possessions were sold at auction.

RIP Bill........ amen to the NBFS........

I looked up his last post which was on the Jan 20th of 17......and he passed soon after that. He was very pleased that Trump had won the election and in the days before had talked about suffering from extreme back pain. His last post was a poem about Trump winning.......

I missed Bill H and will miss him even more now that I know he's left us. We had a good relationship. Talked on the phone a couple of times and back in the day posted many musical posts and exchanged banter on going to driver education events. He was a musician, driving instructor and more. Good bye my friend. DNBFS
