Good morning all.
I really need to move someplace warm.
Got to feeling better, went back to work on Thursday, now I'm sick again.
I was also told I'd be written up if I missed today. If that's how they feel about it, I was looking for a job the day I walked in there.
So, unlike Tommy, I AM gonna sit on my procrastinating ass all day today, and tomorrow.
Thanks for giving me the idea Tommy.
I hope you guys don't catch this cold/flu that's going around. It really sucks.
And it keeps sucking for a long time.

YOU'RE NOT ALONE, BOB. FLU IS INSIDIOUS, YOU THINK IT'S OVER AND THEN IT COMES BACK ON YOU. LAST TIME I HAD IT BAD I MADE THREE TRYS GOING BACK TO WORK BEFORE I FINALLY MADE IT. FIRST TIME I ONLY MADE IT OUT TO MY TRUCK :-0

OVERCAST AND COOL IN THE NATIONS, SUPPOSED TO GET WINDY LATER. GUESS I'LL CHECK OUT THE LOCAL FLEA MARKET, MAYBE GO UP TO THE BIG ONE IN TULSA. I'M RESTLESS AFTER SITTING THROUGH THE FREEZE IN.

WHAT IF THEY CLOSED THE GOVERNMENT AND NOBODY NOTICED?
Oops! Did I roll my eyes out loud?

Morning guys....Another nice day is on tap today, but the other shoe falls tomorrow. Better utilize today.

Yesterday I left early to get up to the vocational school 5:50 MT. I put mountain time down as the school runs on MT, even though I'm on central. Becomes MT 15 miles west of town. Got there and the boys helped me unload my tools and we started in on the process. Whomever designed the kitchen (my former student and teacher there, and the local lumberyard guy) didn't do the best job. One of those deals where it looks fine on paper, but not-so-much in real life. I told the boys, I generally wouldn't do this (a 24" deep cabinet over the refrig) because things get shoved to the back and are basically lost, but besides that it was situated very close to the inside corner and made everything feel like a 'cave'. After installing it everyone agreed...including the the teacher. It was decided that he would order another cabinet, but the standard 12" depth. Then I suggested that we take it back down and cut it back to 15" depth. there was some trepidation from some of the kids and the teacher, but I asked what they would do with this cabinet once it was taken down and they said it would probably end up at the dump. So I convinced them if this didn't work out it would go to the dump anyway. So I set about getting one of the better, more motivated students to cutting it down, luckily I brought the tools to accomplish the job. We cut it down, then put it back up and "viola" a HUGE transformation that made sense.

I indicated to the boys this wasn't a "typical" thing I do on a cabinet install, but something they might run into at some point. Anyway we got the cabinets installed by 3:30, the time the boys get out of school. I hung around long enough to gather my tools, measure for counter tops and head out. There were about 4 boys who stayed long enough to help me gather things and load up. Thank you guys.

Today is second coat of paint on the face frames, talk to a client about their kitchen project and look at a computer that I got called on yesterday. Time to get with it.

Gris is right, Bob, that stuff is nasty. Just about the time you think you're over it, it hits you again. Don't rush it.

I never get a flu shot. The best way to avoid the flu is avoid people.

That's not what i did last night though. The Rodeo is in town for the weekend. I was entertained. It's also a fund raiser through sales for all the local fund raising groups as well as regular retail vendors. I had a DELICIOUS Gyro with all the fixings. Brest Gyro I ever ate. It should be . I paid $9.00 for it. Water was $2 Beer was $7 Cotton Candy $4. You get the idea. Some people we met on a couple of previous cruises is stopping in today and heading out on a cruise tomorrow. Don't know if they are staying or not. Wifey just told me last night. "Oh, I forgot to tell you. Ray and Christie are coming in tomorrow."

Great. I just got a phone call. Requests a Vulcan delivery right now. Wow, now I have Tourette's again.

Howdy! I put in another magnificent sleep-in effort - I feel like I am really on top of my game. Gonna be tropical here today, 41. The weather geniuses are saying we're going to get dumped on with wet, heavy snow tomorrow and Monday, we'll see. A nice Italian restaurant is on the agenda tonight, looking forward to that.

Bravo, Tom! And get better, Bob!

Meanwhile, this is why cats cannot be trusted:

Have a good day, Gurus - what's left of it.

Bob, hope you feel better.

TB, great job with the cabinets. I bet those boys really appreciated it.

To clarify yesterday's post, yes I sold some tools. However, that was the original intent. I bought a box of miscellaneous snap on, Matco, and blue point ratchets and wrenches. I sold off the majority of stuff and made almost all my money back pretty quickly. Still have a couple of little items left. Now I end up with 3-4 ratchets for free. Something I like to do on the side for fun.

Hope everyone had a great day!
