Dog training, maintenance around the house till I get a phone call to disrupt me type of Wednesday. I have to make a hot sheet to reference what I need to get to first. Now that I get to do dog training 3 hours a day for 10 weeks I will pick my chores accordingly.

Howdy! I decided to work from home today, as we got a little snow overnight, so the roads are a bit greasy. Been there, done that.

That is quite a time commitment to the dog training, but hopefully it will all be worth it in the end. A well-trained dog is very cool and a pleasure to be around (not that I've ever owned a well-trained one personally).

Have a good day, all!

Morning guys....cold start again, single digits, but at least they are positive numbers. Not much on the agenda until later. Sun is out and the wind is not blowing....yet.

Is the training helping, Tommy? Guessing you are being trained more so than the dogs. Brad at least it's cold too, for you.

COLD, CALM, AND HAZY IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. GOOD NEWS: NO ICE AM GRISHEIM AND THE LIGHTS ARE STILL ON. BAD NEWS: NO RAIN. TULSA HAD A RASH OF TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS ATTRIBUTED TO ICE, BUT THEN TULSA HAS THE WORST DRIVERS IN THE STATE.

VERY LITTLE ON THE AGENDA TODAY, SOME ERRANDS TO RUN AND MY REGULARLY SCHEDULED NAP.

All societies in decline fixate on impossible postmodern dreams as a way of disguising their inability to address premodern problems.

Really in just two days there are signs of improvement. I have them in an off leash training program (that starts on leash). Eventually hope to have them obey verbal commands that will keep them in the yard when the gate opens, not jump on people, furniture and so on. Our dogs are spoiled rotten and need some discipline for sure. It was either dog training or start working out with kettlebells. I chose dog training. lol (Wink, wink, nudge, nudge, ya know what I mean.)

Since we have a resident expert, I know where to send our new dog - when that happens.
I really don't want a new dog, however Sam, the 12 year old was put to sleep not long ago as a result of cancer and other issues. Onyx, her lifetime companion is now lonely and howls and hollers a lot and refuses to be anywhere except right up your ass. BF is hounding me to get her a new friend. Taking care of one is enough.
Cold front and rain moved through here yesterday and brought us some nice ice and sleet. Roads were fine this morning but he suggested he take me to work as he wasn't up for dragging my Vette out of a ditch if I happen to hit a "patch" of ice. me neither. So now, he's scheduled to be at my friend's tonight to pull a trans out of a pickup and I'm stuck along for the ride. Can't wait....

My photographer friend went down to our office building last night and snapped a couple photos of the ice palace. It's in no danger of melting anytime soon:

From a man who has a house full of pets, pets are a responsibility. If you enjoy freedom to go where you please when you please I suggest ceramic, bronze or other non living animal options. I do enjoy the animal companionship except when there are things I would like to do or places I would like to go. Thank goodness I have sonny-boy available for our great escapes. If he ever goes back to work that option will too. (3 years out of the work force, still living in a house with no bathroom or kitchen and sustained by food stamps) I don't know why he does it but he does. That's the update.
