SUNNY, COOL, AND CALM IN THE NATIONS, "OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING---" THE CHEROKEES HAVE A GREAT BIG GRIN.
NOTHING IN PARTICULAR ON THE AGENDA, BREAKFAST AT THE WHEELHOUSE AND THEN ???.

MUCH AS I OPPOSE THE IDEA OF MOWING IN APRIL, IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN. SUCH A SHAME IT'S TOO WET TODAY, THE MOWER MIGHT BOG DOWN :-) IT MAY NOT DRY OUT BEFORE MAY---

PROCRASTINATION IS HOW YOU DETERMINE WHAT REALLY, REALLY HAS TO BE DONE.

Howdy! No mowing on the agenda for a while, but I do plan to put the snowblower away this weekend. And the Vette will be coming home either today or tomorrow.

Have a good day, all!

Good Morning CGs!

I have completed the first official grass cut of 2018. I didn't even swear or fuss. That will change.

Have to get the kids ready for school and then off to mom's to do some inside repairs and yardwork.

Hope everyone has a great day!

A VERY NICE DAY HERE, GOT A LITTLE WINDY THIS AFTERNOON. HAD PRIME RIB FOR SUPPER AT THE "PEPERJACK", VERY GOOD.

THE HUMMING BIRDS HAVE RETURNED, ALL MALES SO FAR. THEY ARE THE FIRST TO GO SOUTH AND APPARENTLY THE FIRST TO COME NORTH. THE POND IS BRIM FULL AND RUNNING OVER AND THE BARN PHOEBE'S CHICKS ARE FLEDGING, THEY'LL FLY THE NEST SOON.

THERE MAY BE A RESUMPTION OF THE COON WARS. TWO FINCH FEEDERS WERE TAKEN DOWN LAST NIGHT; I'LL SET A TRAP TONIGHT AND SEE WHAT TURNS UP.

THE BIG NEWS IS THERE HAVE BEEN NO TORNADOES IN OKLAHOMA THIS YEAR. AN UNUSUAL SPRING INDEED.

Is that you bringing your car home Brad?

This evening we took dad to the American legion for, what we told him was something one of his great grands were doing. We fibbed to him to get him to go without telling him the real reason, which was, this American Legion, maybe others do this too, gives hand made quilts to selected vets, and dad was chosen as one for this month. The lady got up and started giving a little background about the vet, and at the end, she says "Does this sound like someone here?" And I leaned over and said to dad, "That sounds like you." And just about that time, she announces his name and he's so surprised and a bit taken back, but a huge grin appears on his face as he goes up to the front to receive his quilt. The moment is priceless. Everyone in the place is applauding him and congratulating him and thanking him for his service as he goes up and has his picture taken with the lady that made the quilt and then with all the family that is there.

He was still grinning from ear to ear when we left. Beautiful quilt too.

That's a really nice story to start off a Saturday with.

Awesome story indeed, Tom! And yes, the Vette is finally home. Naturally it is supposed to rain a lot next week.
