The day holds promise. The promise of another busy day. On a good note, next week at this time we should be deep into the Gulf of Mexico.

Morning guy....Sun is shining brightly, right now. Clouds are supposed to move in as well as the wind.

Rosie and I will go to her dad's place today. She will leave me and come home. Tomorrow afternoon Dad and I will go to Wichita, spend the night at the airport Hilton and Wednesday morning, fly out to Washington DC.

Got a few things to do today before we leave, better get to them. Have a wonderful day folks.

Howdy! It is supposed to be a balmy 84 today. Two weeks ago, we had a blizzard. Mother Nature keeps you on your toes around here.

Tommy, your vacation schedule would've made Johnny Carson envious ;-)

Have a good day, yawlz!

SUNNY, BREEZY, AND COOL IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. ANOTHER COON HAS CROSSED THE NEOSHO :-). IT'S ABOUT 12 ROAD MILES TO MY DROP OFF POINT ACROSS THE RIVER, CLOSE TO A PUBLIC CAMP GROUND. A LITTLE MORE WILDLIFE DIVERSITY FOR THE CAMPERS. NONE HAVE EVER RETURNED AS FAR AS I KNOW, ALTHOUGH ONE DID GIVE ME PAUSE.

IT WAS CURLED UP ASLEEP IN THE TRAP, JUST LOOKED UP AND YAWNED WHEN I LOADED THE TRAP IN THE TRUCK, AND WENT BACK TO SLEEP. WHEN I OPENED IT UP AT THE DISMOUNT POINT IT STOOD UP, STRETCHED, HOPPED OFF THE TAILGATE AND AMBLED OFF INTO THE BUSHES IN NO PARTICULAR HURRY. THIS WAS OBVIOUSLY NOT IT'S FIRST RODEO.

THE AGGRESSIVE AND VICIOUS ONES I JUST SHOOT AND BE DONE WITH.

Well, Rosie has dropped me off and has head d back home. While here, she went to see her sister and picked up some more “mail call” letters from her and her families. She brought them back to me and says, “Here, put these with ours.” .........”CRAP! I left ours at home” I guess he’ll get those when we return..........CRAP. How I forgot those is beyond me.

Gris, that’s funny (You’re expecting the boat to sink?)

Dad is fixing some burgers for supper. Tomorrow I’m going to clay his car and give it some wax. Then we’ll head for Wichita.

BUSY DAY, COON TRANSPLANT, AUTO ROTATION, AND THEN I FINISHED TRIMMING, PILLED UP ON ASPIRIN AND TOOK A NAP. THEN STARTED CUTTING THE YARD, DIDN'T EVEN GET HALF DONE WHEN THE MOWER BROKE DOWN AND I HAD TO HAVE IT HAULED IN FOR REPAIR. I FEEL SO STOVE UP I DREAD GETTING UP IN THE MORNING. IT MAY TAKE GIN POLES AND A WINCH TO GET ME OUT OF BED.

IT'S BEEN VERY COLORFUL AROUND THE FEEDERS, WITH THE USUAL MOB OF GOLDFINCHES, INDIGO BUNTINGS, CARDINALS, ROSE BREASTED GROSBEAKS, AND BALTIMORE OREOS. THE GROSBEAKS HAVE BEEN SEEN BEFORE, BUT SELDOM. NOW THERE IS A SMALL FLOCK OF THEM. THE OREOS I HAVE NEVER SEEN HERE IN 18 YEARS. NOW THERE MUST BE A HALF DOZEN OR MORE. ANOTHER MANIFESTATION OF AN UNUSUAL SPRING, ALONG WITH COOLER WEATHER FLUCTUATIONS AND NO TORNADOES.

Atta boy Tee..... have a great time...... something happens when you cross the belt line though.....so if you start feeling liberal in any way get the hell out of there....... so many of our elected go up there on fire and end up rich and fat......and leaning to the left....... I don't get it.........

Gris......Gin Poles...... a new Gin drink I have not heard about?

I am telling you the freaking wind blew 50 mph today........ holy moly.....several big car pile ups on the 80 a couple with 20 plus cars...... you see some dumb ass farmers are still tilling the soil like its 1950 and when the wind blows the soil blows right onto the Interstate and creates a dust out and folks panic and put on the brakes and everyone else slams into them.......couple dead out of the messes.......I 80 was closed earlier..... damn shame........

time to watch Justified.......

50mph??? Heck here in Kansas we call that a light breeze. Not really, but it is still blowing here at 10:15pm..... normally once the sun goes down, so does the wind......not tonight. And they are saying it will continue tomorrow.
