That is basically the same set up I use......maybe a fixed head ratchet on some of the plugs will work better..... time and patience......each one is a victory.....

Personally, I only have one ratchet and one socket to do spark plugs
John, honestly I have all different types of ratchets, sockets, etc. My go to for most side-mounted plugs is a flex head ratchet and a swivel spark plug socket. For cars with limited access and/or headers, try a header spark plug socket with a flex head ratcheting wrench. Hope that helps. |

I seem to remember my L98 had a couple of plugs that were a real bitch to get out....... My LS3 is tight but not horrible........

John, this is a header socket:
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sle-30102 Much shorter with a hollow center so it slips over the plug. Then turn it with an open end/box end/ratcheting wrench. Before I knew they existed I made my own out of a regular spark plug socket that I cut down and drilled out. Easy to do. |
