Nice and cool this morning, but kind of humid. Supposed to reach the mid 90s. About normal temps for this time of year.

I have a few cabinets to build, picked up the materials yesterday, so will start on those. Looked at another bathroom remodel yesterday...will start on that in about three weeks. So the work continues.

This past week, while at the lake, BIL (lives in Tallahasse) told us his youngest son is getting married next year. They are looking at venues in Homestead for the wedding....I said, "Hey, I know someone that lives down there." We are planning on going to the wedding and hoping it is in the fall/winter/spring time and not in the summer.

I better get to it. Later guys.

Howdy! Since it is golf league day, there is a big blob of rain/yuk headed our way. Hopefully it will clear out of here in time. Meanwhile, I drove the Vette on Sunday - I moved it 3 feet forward to give the garage door repair guy some extra room, and then 3 feet backward when he was done. Perhaps I'll get it out of the garage tomorrow. We'll see.

Have a good day, yawlz!

I remember seeing that a few years ago. Wasn't it debunked as CGI for a commercial or something like that?

Hot one here today. Wife had outdoor chores pre-planned for me (she's really good about that....so helpful in planning out my day for me). I had to hack a shrub out that had died and trim the magnolia bush to about 1/2 size. Also got the grass cut since tomorrow morning is garbage pick up. Once that was done I vacuumed the pool since it was looking pretty bad on the bottom. Nice and clean now.

Despite the heat I've driven the black beauty a few times. Air still works so no complaints there.

Speaking of air...not sure if I mentioned it before but on Thursday wife came home and said the AC and her Rogue stopped working. Great. All that kept running through my mind was $1,000 for repairs. Apparently I have a garage full of tools, however. I was able to get the diagnostics off Alldata and checked it out Friday. A poke here and a prod there, check for power, yada yada yada. As it turns out the coil on the AC compressor is bad. It happens. Of course no parts store sells the coil individually. And neither does the dealer. They want you to buy a new compressor. Of course that also involves evacuating the system, changing the accumulator drier, changing the expansion valve, and recharging. The coil/pulley is just a couple of bolts and snap rings. I ordered a new one off of eBay but it still won't be here for a couple of days. The wife isn't happy but I told her she has 450 air. 4 windows open at 50 mph should cool her off. At least she thought it was funny. Can't do much when the parts are unavailable.

Hope everyone has a great day!

It's screened in. Used to house an above ground pool but if you look in the lower portion of the picture, that's the tortoise pen. Keeps the skeeters out.

OH YEAH, RAPTORS ARE COOL! WE USED TO HAVE A PAIR OF SHARP-SHINED HAWKS THAT HUNG AROUND TO PICK UP THE OCCASIONAL SNACK AT THE BIRD FEEDERS. SAD TO SAY THEY BOTH KAMIKAZED ON THE SUN ROOM WINDOWS AND NO REPLACEMENTS HAVE EVER MOVED IN TO FILL THE ENVIRONMENTAL NICHE.
