IT'S A SUNNY, STICKY MORNING IN THE NATIONS, THE RAIN NEVER MADE IT THIS FAR EAST YESTERDAY, 50% CHANCE THIS AFTERNOON "THEY" SAY. THE CHEROKEES WOULD LIKE TO SEE AN END TO THE GRASS-GROWING SEASON.

GOT STUFF PUT AWAY FROM THE GREAT HUNT, GOT A COUPLE OF SHOTGUNS TO CLEAN. MY 12 GA BUILDS UP PLASTIC IN THE FORCING CONES THAT IS A PIA TO GET OUT. AND THE KIDDY-SIZE 20 THAT #3 GRANDSON'S MEXICANA USED IS ALSO DIRTY. SHE WAS DELIGHTED WITH A GUN THAT FIT.

Good morning, all.

Two more disgusting days and then I think we're done with serious heat for this year.

Morning guys....Today is golf day for me. I was invited to play in the Semetra (LPGA) Pro-Am hosted in the 'city'. I doubt we'll win anything, but we're going to have fun...if we don't get wet. The threat of rain off and on all day may put a damper on the fun. High 70s is the predicted high.

I hope everyone has a great day...I'll check back in when I get home.

The Fifth? I remember in my Air Force days I could pick up a 1.75 litre bottle of Jim Beam for $6.05. Not sure if that was a good thing. Carton of Marlboro, $3.00. Coffee, booze and smokes were cheap. Every morning the coffee was welcome. Strong coffee.

The water has receded. Now it's down to mud. Most everything in the sheds are high so the flooding doesn't usually cause any bad damage. The water when it gets high comes up to the frame of the lawnmower so it usually starts OK when I'm ready to use it. Supposed to get wet again over the next few days and maybe another tropical situation to keep an eye on. I have a pole saw that the engine was locked up on. Guess it will still be locked up. ;)

Good Morning CGs!

That's strange, Marcus... I don't remember seeing the invitation. It must still be in the mail.

New BBQ joint opened by the house recently. Stopped by yesterday and got the nacho plate topped with pulled pork and brisquet. It was delicious and enormous. Enough for 3-4 people. So I had that yesterday and today I had leftovers

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hidey-ho! Been busy all morning, and now have a couple meetings on the schedule - ick. No golf yesterday - it kept raining right on through to this morning. Supposedly that is all on the way out of here. We shall see.

Have a good day, all!

I remember Pall Mall's (outstanding and they are mild) and Lucky Stikes..(LS/MFT) Bonus Points for what did that stand for officially and non officially.....? .... Kool's, Salems......Marlboro's of course and Winstons.... (Winstons taste good like a cigarette should).....

Then there was Chesterfields, Old Gold, Camels, Phillip Morris and Raleighs......

I smoked mostly Marlboro's.....since they were manly Ya....and surprisingly enough Uwoman smoked Salem Lights when we got married..... I did start to like those menthol smokes after awhile...... so I switched to Marlboro Greens and likes those......

then the kids came along and we both decided enough was enough and someone said they were going to start costing a dollar a pack which was crazy talk..... 50 cents was enough to pay..... 10 bucks a carton...... so we did but it was tough.... don't know why I'm reminiscing on this.... oh yeah....Larks..... girly smokes back then.....

I'm not positive on the official meaning.
I think it is: Lucky Strikes Mean Fine Tobacco.

The normal meaning in my neck of the woods was:
Loose Straps Mean Floppy Tits.

Hey guys, got home at dark thirty. Just finished up golfing about the time it started getting dark...well the cloud cover helped. It never rained on us, but threatened three or four times. Marcus, we were the AMateurs. We had a good time and the pro we play with was pretty good, but we just had a good time, not concerned with winning.

Looking forward to the visit, Marcus.
