CLOUDY AND COOL IN THE NATIONS, RAIN PROSPECTS HAVE DWINDLED AWAY. SEEMS IT RAINED EVERYWHERE BUT AROUND THE HOUSE. THE WEST YARD NEEDS TO BE CUT AND BALED.

THE PEPPERJACK GRILL HAS STARTED SERVING CHICKENFRIED STEAK FOR SUNDAY DINNER. WE WILL TRY IT OUT, BUT MY HOPES ARE NOT TOO HIGH. FAR AS I KNOW, THE NEAREST GOOD CHICKENFRY IS IN TULSA AT THE BROTHERS HOOLIGAN.

HATE THESE PRE-FAB CHICKENFRIED STEAKS, ALL BATTER AND NO MEAT :-(

Yes its real tough to get a good chicken fried steak anywhere..... I ordered one the other day for lunch at the Spare Time Lounge.....where they make some good burgers and such....... it turned out to be prefab.... I ate it but was not all it could have been....... I remember Grandma's Chicken fried steak...... holy moly...... it is the one all others have been judged by.... man I'm getting hungry......

Mow mow mow today....... total disappointment yesterday as the Colorado Buffalos came to town and snuck out with a win..... 33-28..... We looked good but kept turning the ball over...... 3 times we did and they scored on all of them. damnation ...... funny thing is we beat them in all the stats...just not the score..... we will look ahead to next weeks game........

Have a solid day Guru's.....

Greetings! Nice and sunny again, but 3 hours will be spent indoors - chores will wait until the Vikings game is over. That is the plan, anyway. Meanwhile, the Gophers pulled off a fantastic finish to seal a victory last night. My son had gotten free tickets in a drawing at work, so he got to see a fun game.

Enjoy your day, Gurus!

I love a good chicken fried steak but as mentioned you can hardly find a good one. Most of them taste like chicken fried filet of sole and heel. I sometimes take a cube beef steak or pork steak and batter them in Italian seasoning and pan fry them. You have to time them just right. Not too light, not too dark. That works for me.

Got the skid steer back today. The new pump had the high and low pressure side on the hydraulic pump reversed over the original factory part and gave the mechanic a fit. He was ready to call and say "COME GET THIS MACHINE" but figured it out after the third disassembly.

Gave away a couple of hundred cichlids from the pond today. Maybe they won't feed like piranha for a little while. Not as much competition for food. Still need to get rid of a couple of hundred more.

I'm up and moving a little later than I wanted. I wanted to be at Mom's house by now cutting and setting tile but you know how those things go. But I got the kids fed and the car loaded up with every tool imaginable...should hit the road in a few.

Guess the grass will have to wait.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Y'all just gave me an idea for supper. I have some ribeyes that I sliced off a whole and I can use the tenderizer on those and chicken fry them, mashed taters, gravy, biscuits, dig out some veggies and a big sliced tomato.
Rained here again but has quit and cooled off. Sun due out tomorrow. I plan to be alone but there's a tree trimmer hell bent on providing us an estimate tomorrow.

Hey guys....not sure where the day went. I worked out in the shop for a while then was called out to move a computer and desk for an older couple. Grabbed my 2 GSs to help me there. Then came home and tried to watch my Royals, but they gave the game away in the 9th again. Right after that was over a neighbor came by and asked for some help...he is doing a bit of rearranging and needs a cabinet or two. So I've kept busy. It has been a gorgeous day here....but the weather know-it-alls are saying back into the mid 80s tomorrow, to upper 80s/low 90s by end of the week.

I like CF steak, haven't had a real good one in a while though either.
