Howdy! It was a balmy 7 this morning - I decided not to poke my nose outside to sample it. There are rumors of a warm-up over the next couple days - I may have to take that opportunity to get the snowblower out of the shed. Ick.

Meanwhile:

Hey guys...Been really busy the last few days trying to get those two projects done before Tgiving. Pretty much finished up my part of the kitchen remodel of my friend...the rest is up to him. About ready to install the other cabinet....maybe tomorrow.

It's really cold to start the day. The 'city' tied a record low for the day, but the sun is shining and it has warmed to above freezing by noon. The wind isn't blowing, so standing in the sun makes it feel comfortable.

Well, I better get back to doing some work.

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that that I share the news of the passing of my beloved mother, Helena Holderfield, 92, of Bradenton Florida. Truly loved by her friends and family, she will most certainly be missed. Though I will have great difficulty filling the void her passing leaves in my life, I can truly say I can fill much of it with years of pleasant memories of her endless caring, sharing and enthusiastic participation in life events. I love you Mama, today, tomorrow and through all the days of my life. God be with you.

Good Afternoon CGs!

Chilly day here. Not too bad with the sun out but the wind cuts through you.

Worked on an older Nissan Maxima last week. No start. I diagnosed it as a fuel pump, swapped it out still wouldn't start. Beat my head against the wall for about 6 hours because of it. Friend took it to a former Nissan mech and he swapped out the entire fuel module assembly and now it runs. I have mixed feelings...glad it's running and that I technically diagnosed it right. Mad because my inexperience led me to replace the individual pump versus the entire (more expensive) assembly. I won't make that mistake again.

Hope everyone has a great day!

I got a call on Saturday that my mother had fallen several times in the early morning hours. She managed to unlock the door and call my sister. My sister alerted the EMT's and met the rescuers at her condo. Later Saturday and in the presence of her doctor she suffered a massive stroke. Upon further evaluation it was determined that her condition was not to be treated as she had a DNR order in place and the damage from the stroke was severe. 92 was a good run. I'm going to miss her a lot. Afterall, I only have one Mama.

Very sorry for your loss, Tommy. She had quite a life at 92, I remember many of the stories you've shared over the years. Best wishes to you and your family during this time.
