Ya, love the way the good ol' boys have a way with words. Lots of places in Nebraska a liberal could get lost and never be seen again. Imagine the corn might be greener the last place they were seen.

Driving up to the big city today. Don't have to leave till 08:30 so I'll be on the tail end of the traffic wave north. Traffic should be a little lighter than the full court press from 07:00 to 08:30. Just a delivery so I should be able to resume my activities after that. But today, as everyday, I never know. I'm always just a phone call away from

Morning guys...I need to run over to the 'city' to do a couple things before coming back and waiting for Rosie to get off work so we can head east.

Pretty chilly start, 22, but headed toward high 50s today.

Be careful out there, Tommy. And I trust everyone else will have a great day. I'll probably check in later, once we get to KC

Greetings! Nice of them to have a preview of the Super Bowl last night. I can't stand to listen to that crew, though, so I just kept tabs on it on the web. Not exactly a defensive battle.

Have a good day, yawlz!

Good morning, all.

In the mid-40s and cloudy in the Philadelphia area today—it was spitting when I got to the office.

Car-related stuff: this time of year, when there isn't football on, Ivelis is often deeply ensconced with the Hallmark Channel. I went up the stairs to visit her yesterday evening, and there just happened to be a gorgeous black 1965 Buick Riviera parked in the (stylish, fake) snow. In that particular movie, it is owned by one of the male leads desperately trying to win the lady's favor.

"He's going to win," I said.

He did.

There are few signifiers of automotive taste more indicative than a 1965 Riviera, with those hidden headlights the way Bill Mitchell originally wanted them.

CLEAR, CALM, AND COLD AT THE MOMENT, IT WILL HIT A SIZZLING 50 LATER, THEY SAY. IF THE WIND STAYS DOWN THE CHEROKEES WILL BE PLEASED.

TODAY'S TASK IS TO TAKE MY BLUE TIC SWEETHEART OVER TO MORRIS SO #1 DAUGHTER CAN CHECK HER OVER AND START HEART-WORM TREATMENT. PROBLEM IS SHE WON'T LOAD IN A VEHICLE AND SHE IS A HANDFUL FOR AN OLD FART TO MANHANDLE. MAYBE SHE REMEMBERS BEING DUMPED FROM A VEHICLE.

AND IN THE NEWS:
GOVERNMENT BY LAWSUIT, AIN’T IT JUST WONDERFUL?

THE GRIS SOLUTION: FOR EVERY ALIEN GRANTED ASYLUM DEPORT ONE LAWYER. WHAT COULD BE MORE SIMPLE OR EQUITABLE THAN THAT?

THE 1955 BUICK WAS EVEN BETTER.
IT HAD A BACK SEAT ROOMY ENOUGH FOR ALMOST ANY ACTIVITY :-)

You sound like an authority on the roominess of a 55 Buick backseat Gris...... just saying.....

Great song Matt......might have to try it.........

No Tommy we have tolerance for girlie liberals.....I think every town in Nebraska is allowed one......... so not as bad as you think here....

I love the 65 Riviera ...... as much a custom iconic look as the split window Sting Ray........ art on wheels......

Got chores......more later......

I have returned from the belly of the beast. Never been fan of big cities. Wasn't too bad. 3 hour round trip including unloading. I feel a nap coming on. Hope it will be undisturbed.

Beautiful and sunny here but cool. Rather be outside trying out the new skateboard but still dont' feel great. Cousin in the nursing home has been upsetting me since thursday night and then last night she got sent to the hospital. Getting sent back home tonight. That ought to make her happy. Relieves the rest of us. Holiday plans back to normal I suppose. I reckon I'll get off work and hit the store to find what to buy so I can make something to take to both places and get on with the show. Hope everyone has a good evening
