Morning guys...Much nicer start to the day here in SW Kansas. Mid 20s headed to low 60s. I have a couple things to work on in the shop. Later we have church and I'm reading again tonight and ministering.

Better get to it.

I HEARD "LEAKING SEALS" MENTIONED AND THEY ARE ORDERING A NEW MC. I DIDN'T HANG AROUND LONG ENOUGH FOR A DETAILED EXPLANATION AS I HAD TO GET HOME TO LET THE BUG GUY IN THE HOUSE.

Good morning, all.

We got back an hour or so ago from our hotel in Philadelphia. We stayed the night in the city because we went to the Black Tie Tailgate yesterday evening, the annual preview charity event for the Philadelphia Auto Show. A good time was had by all, though I don't think there were any concept cars—a change from previous years. Everything was either production or real close to production.

We did get to see the 2020 Jeep Gladiator pickup truck (handsome in a brutish way), the 2020 Lincoln Aviator SUV (great blue paint, nice size), and the 2020 Porsche 911 (still looks like a 911, but bigger than ever).

There's only about a year left on our Impala lease, so we're looking for replacements that fit the rear legroom/not insane money specification. We were happy with the Buick Regal TourX wagon, the new Chevrolet Blazer crossover, the Genesis G80 sedan, and the new Toyota Avalon sedan—so we do have some choices going forward. One big question going forward will be whether to lease another sedan or give in and lease a crossover.

Marcus. What was your top speed on your last attempt? I was reading more about the 200 mph club and it was more involved than I had originally anticipated.

We're trying to save some space for some other cars and tools … a Suburban will not aid in that endeavor.

Store them in the back of the Suburban.

No see John...then you need to expand the shop or garage to be able to put more stuff in it...... after all the house fixing you did it has to be your turn right?

Sorry Tommy did not see that question earlier. The best I ever ran was 138.6 I believe. I want to pop over 140 this year. The 427 C6 cars are running 142 to 145 in the half mile. The C7 Z06's are right at 150 to 152 I beat a stock C7 base car last year and they have 460 crank hp on the direct injection LT1 engine. That would be around 391 rwhp.

I am done with adding engine power. The 400 rwhp and 400 torque are good. I mean all it takes is money to go faster right but its got enough power for this old man. It is mainly a GT road car... if I want more power then I will figure out how to get a C7 Z06 when they get cheaper when the C8 comes out.......

My drag coefficient on a GS is .32 which isn't that good. Base car is about .28 or .29. So I need downforce to lower my drag coefficient....I have a spoiler on the back so now need a splitter to give more downforce to the front...... easy peasy.......right?

Good Evening CGs!

Much warmer today, I think it hit 39*. Felt like spring.

We went to dinner tonight in downtown Chicago at a fancy steakhouse. Wife, myself, BIL, and SIL. The bill was ridiculous but the food and service were excellent. And we don't splurge like that....ever. So it was a treat. Need to get the kids home and to bed.

Hope everyone had a great day!

66 for a high today. Into the 70's tomorrow.....

Got those things done today in the shop and will work on some 'new' things in the shop the next several days.

Tomorrow while the majority of the USA goes to SUPPER BOWL parties, Rosie and I are planning on going to the casino in Dodge City to eat some prime rib and play the slots a little. Just watched the weather, looks like it is going to be nice for a few more days, so, we are planning on driving the Corvette.
