Well, after a near perfect day, weather-wise, yesterday, 74, sunny and no wind, a cold front moved through during the night bringing with it strong north winds. Even with the cold front it is supposed to make it into the mid 70s again today, just pretty breezy.

Well, I was right, Rosie, this morning, before she left came up with a couple more things she wants me to do today at her office. So, after while, I'll go up there and get those done for her.

I'm going to do some lathe turnings for a client here in town. He caught me yesterday and asked me to duplicate some small spindles for an antique rocking chair. The chair is some family heirloom apparently. I need to do 6 of them.

Better get to it. Have a great day!

I admire your talent, Tom—I just never developed any woodworking skills.

Good morning, all!

A beautiful day today, near perfect for the first day of the 125th running of the Penn Relays. Today, it's high school students, tomorrow college students, and Saturday the pros.

A DRIPPY MORNING IN THE NATIONS, THE LONG THREATENED RAIN ARRIVED THIS MORNING, JUST ENOUGH TO MAKE A MESS. LOOKS LIKE IT'S OVER FOR THE TIME BEING.

SON'S STENT REPLACEMENT WENT WELL APPARENTLY AND DARLING WIFE SHOULD BE HOME THIS EVENING.

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA, IT COULD BE A TWO NAP DAY.

Tom, I know how you feel, all too well.

Clean house, a few chores, pack, and get ready for my beloved cruise. Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel on the itinerary. 6 days with 2 sea days to do next to nothing. Leaving Sunday.

Glad to hear the stent went well, best wishes there -
I'm onto the flower shop van today, have emails and quotes out to two others, waiting to hear back from them. Tomorrow is my appointment withe the ombudsman. Called our elder care atty to see if he needed a copy of what I was sending and he said no but sounds like you need to talk to this dude and sent me a lawyer who specifically sues nursing homes. Eek. After that the newspaper I worked for is having a reception for the publisher, he's retiring and they've invited me as well. Weird. Ok, I'll come have free food and schmooze.
Have a good day y'all

Ya. They give us offers we can't refuse. The Caribbean is our backyard. Doing an Eastern in July and New England in October. We'll see what comes up from there. This one is out of Miami. July is out of Ft. Lauderdale. October out of port in N.Y.C..

Too bad they don't give us more northern peeps deals to entice us to buy plane tickets and drive all that way just to get on the ship. We're talking about a vaca again since the nursing home crap ruined it for us last year. He's mentioned a cruise. Of course when he mentions it, there are no specials going and I've not booked in so long ANYWHERE to know what to do anymore

Well, Rosie is completely out of her old office. They got her fiber hooked up today, so her phones and internet have been transferred, But now I get to go set up computers and such. I did set up the router this afternoon so they have wireless connections.

I did do the lathe turnings today. The first one took about 45 minutes and the second one, 20 minutes...the rest of them (4) took about 12 to 15 minutes to turn.

We had a wake service tonight for friends' son. 48 years young, brain tumor. I had him as a student 30 years ago, was a really good kid. I was asked to do the reading of the bible passages. Tomorrow is the funeral classmates doing the readings, but we will be there to do whatever Father needs done.
