Good morning, all.

I'm hunkered down in front of my LG this morning. Motor Trend will cover the entire race.

Live timing is here—let's hope it stays up.

I have printed out Andy Blackmore's amazing Spotter's Guide, which is here.

About ten minutes to start:

LMP1: Toyota #7, Toyota #8, BR Engineering #17

LMP2: Oreca #28 (9th overall), Oreca #31, Alpine #36

LM GT Pro: Aston Martin #95 (29th overall), Ford #67, Corvette #63 (Corvette #64 is 11th in class)

LM GT Am: Porsche #88 (45th overall), Porsche #77, Porsche #86

There were 62 cars invited, but the #99 Porsche 911 RSR crashed heavily in practice and was withdrawn. So, we'll start the race with 61.

If I were playing the Patrick Dempsey drinking game, I'd already be tipsy.

The Oreca #30 is having issues, perhaps in limp home mode.

At one hour and forty minutes in, more damage to the #88 Porsche. Full course yellow.

The #70 Ferrari has a flat, perhaps because of the debris that caused the FCY.

The #64 Corvette has crashed with Marcel Fassler driving—contact with one of the GTE AM Porsches. They are almost certainly done—huge damage.

Marcel is okay. Oliver Gavin looks striken.

The #64 Corvette is done—it's being hauled off the track.

I feel for Gavin—I have a sense (based on no actual data) that there are big changes coming to the Corvette Racing team when the C7.R is retired at the end of this year. At age 46, he may wonder if he'll ever get another chance at Le Mans.
