Good morning, all.

Storms came through last night and cooled things off a bit—cloudy and in the mid-70s right now in the Philadelphia area.

The University closes early this afternoon, so it's a short work day.

Lee Iacocca passed yesterday—he was 94.

Many things are being written about him. I'll just say: Ford Mustang, Lincoln Continental Mark III, Dodge Aries/Plymouth Reliant, Dodge Caravan/Plymouth Voyager.

Hello, as usual a lengthy day awaits. Trying to get a lot of stuff done while I'm still young.

IT'S ANOTHER PRETTY MORNING IN THE NATIONS. THE CHEROKEES ARE GETTING READY FOR THE FORTH. THINK I WILL FINISH OFF THE MOWING TODAY.

AND IN THE NEWS:

THE AMERICAN FLAG IS “OFFENSIVE” AND BETSY ROSS IS RACIST AND DEMOCRAT REP. FREDERICA WILSON SAID “MAKING FUN” OF MEMBERS OF CONGRESS ONLINE SHOULD BE A CRIME.

WHERE IS WILL ROGERS NOW THAT WE REALLY NEED HIM?

Morning guys...Up and around. Getting things loaded up to head east after lunch. It's seasonably cool this morning, mid 60s now, but headed to the mid 90s.

Lee did some pretty neat things (the Mustang and Caravan), but also a couple not so cool things (Aries/Reliant) IMO

Three of the big machines are sold and gone. One bandsaw I bought, but needs repaired/maintanence, I didn't even list, but after the other bandsaws were sold, and I still had lots of interest, I mentioned I had that one and I'm 95% sure it is sold too. I'll have about $100 in it and I told the guy, I was going to ask $650...they sell on flebay for $950 - 1100. The guy was excited to be able to get it for my price.

Well, I need to get going and finish loading stuff, fill with fuel and then go eat with the old folks before we leave. I'll check in later.

Good Morning CGs!

Things have been pretty hectic around here. Family stuff is number 1 and with the kids off school they take precedence. Had a little trip with them the other day up to the Wisconsin Dells. That was nice. Gearing up for another trip later to visit my sister. Always something to do.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Yeah...I was an Iacocca fan.... didn't he save Chrysler along the way? I know I bought his book way back when and still have it in the library..... Innovator and get it done kinda guy.... Godspeed....

Well better get at it.....bit cloudy today but not much cooler. Got the new Tahoe in the shop for new windshield and front grill and a few other things we agreed on when we bought it. So far I don't like the ride as well as the 2010 Tahoe we traded on it. Its got Mag ride and that's supposed to be like the best but not feeling it. May be the Continental tires...when they wear out will replace with B-Stones.....

Marcus, it might be the SIZE of the tire/wheel combo. The new one has 20" wheels and much smaller sidewalls. I know my 15 Silverado doesn't ride as well as the old 09. 20s on the new one, 18 on the old one. Tires are the same height at 31". Sidewall on the 18s was a little wider.

Ok headed to the Sr. Center for lunch!

I have had nothing but horrible experiences with Continental tires—I once accidentally put our Jaguar into a four wheel drift in the ones that it came with. Moving to Dunlop winter tires made the Jaguar handle better in the dry.

I do also concur with TeeBee's comment on how thin those stylish sidewalls are nowadays. Maybe drop either an inch or even two in wheel size?

Is an excellent resource.

had Dubs on the 2010 and Dubs on the 17....I will check the tire aspect ratio on both cars to see if they are different. I went up a wheel size on my C6 and lowered the aspect ratio on the new tires yet the car rides so much better..... course they are non run flats that could have something to do with it....

We made it to KC about 7:15pm. Sat around and talked and oohhed and aahhed about the new puppy (it is a cute little pug), then we went out to see the building that #1 was, more or less, in charge of designing for the company she works for, they have the grand opening next week and they have a huge multi-media display that encompasses two sides on the top. They were testing the the display tonight, so we had to go down for the test.....pretty impressive.

Most everyone is getting up early in the morning to do the 5k walk/run. I’ll be sleeping in. Then the big parade happens at 10. Later we all go over to #3s house where SIL is smoking a pork butt and fireworks after dark. Big day

I’m pooped and headed to bed.
