2014 Memorial Day Car Show Winner!

Morning guys...slept in this morning. Cool (for late July) in KC. Headed to the upper 80s. Both daughters here have plans for the weekend, so we are probably headed toward home. More than likely, we will go back and visit Rosie’s dad and spend a day or so with him.

TOOK THE "HOUSE COON" ACROSS THE RIVER. THIS ONE WAS YOUNGER AND MORE ACTIVE THAN YESTERDAY'S COON, TRIED SO HARD TO GET OUT THERE ARE BLOODSTAINS ON THE TRAP. WAS NOT AGGRESSIVE THOUGH, WHEN RELEASED HE CROSSED THE LINE OF DEPARTURE AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED INTO THE WOODS.
I CELEBRATED HIS DEPARTURE WITH BREAKFAST AT THE "WHEELHOUSE". NOW FOR A LITTLE CLEAN UP AND RESETTING THE TRAP, AS THERE SEEMS TO BE ANOTHER ONE HANGING AROUND THE BARN EMBEZZLING CAT FOOD. I'LL HEAD UP TO TULSA THIS AFTERNOON TO SET UP WITH SAM AT A SMALL GUNSHOW. THAT WILL TAKE CARE OF SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. GOT TO GET OVER TO OKMULGEE SOME TIME TO SEE #3 GRANDSON BEFORE HE TAKES OFF FOR HIS SEMESTER IN BRAZIL. Attach file:  FEAR.jpg (27.26 KB) |

We made it to central Kansas, to visit Rosie’s dad. The further west we came, the warmer it got. 96 was the high temp we saw on the thermometer. As we got closer, the clouds started to thicken...weather says no rain, but, I’m not so sure. We’ll hang around for a while tomorrow, and head on home later.
