SUNNY, MILD, AND A LITTLE BIT STICKY IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING.

TOMMY, I THINK HEART DISEASE HAS MORE TO DO WITH YOUR GRANDMOTHER THAN YOUR DIET. GENETICS AND THE MYSTERIES OF BODY CHEMISTRY. DON'T KNOW HOW I'VE DODGED THAT BULLET WITH A STRONG HISTORY ON MY DAD'S SIDE. A VERY AGGRESSIVE GP WHO PUT ME ON ZOCORE 25 YEARS AGO MAY HAVE HELPED.

I'M SEEING SUSPICIOUS SIGNS OF ANOTHER COON IN THE BARN; SET THE TRAP LAST NIGHT WITH NEGATIVE RESULTS. THE CURRENT VOLUNTEER BARN CAT IS BECOMING TAMER THAN ANY OF HIS PREDECESSORS. A CASTOFF RATHER THAN FERAL, MOST LIKELY.

SO THAT WAS WHY THIS WOULDN'T POST :-)

Morning guys....tired again this morning. But, it is cool outside for the start, 66 now but headed to upper 90s later and windy. So will probably feel like a blast furnace.

Yesterday, I finished the handrail, and then did a freebie job in the afternoon. Hung a door at #2s house. Framed opening has always been there, but no door. I bought a slab, cut the hinge gains and knob hole, then went over to fit it to the opening. The opening had been there for a while, but whomever installed it, didn't get it very square. The two sides were perpendicular, but the top and floor....not so much. I got it all fitted properly and the knob installed and strike plate installed, it was then time to go golf. This morning, I will go back and finish up the trim pieces.

I have some other, smaller, jobs to do in the shop...so I won't be lacking any work to do.

Tommy, that is really amazing about your heart condition. I'm thinking it might be time for me to get an appointment with a cardiologist and have my ticker checked out.

Have a great day.

Yeah Thomas glad you had a check up and the calcium test. simple and easy but will let them know if there is potential trouble....

I think the best thing you can do at this point is whatever the Doc's say of course but you need to give up the death sticks..... I did it as have many others..... you may have to be scared into it but they need to go.

Don't know for sure but I think smoking may have contributed to Brad's untimely demise...... I know he could never kick it and I do not think Vaping is an alternative..... just saying...... I look forward to your posts and hope to read them for years to come.

OK its time to go to work...... I will see you when I see you...... or something like that........

Agreed, nice ride!
Saw a '14 on local Marketplace for $15,000 says it has a lien, I'm half a mind to ask if they seriously only want that much and gimme the title lol. When things sound too good to be true -
I went back to read your medical post, Tommy and sorry to hear what the doc had to say. When I hit 50 all the docs came at me with every test they had and thankfully I turned out squeaky clean. I do agree with Gris though in that a lot of our things are determined and handed down the chain from our grands, and have read a lot comes from the maternal side. Not sure the facts but -
Was nice and sunny here all weekend, took the trip to the casino with friends, everyone won then came home broke, as usual. At least we were fed and housed. Rained and big storms yesterday afternoon though. Side job of the book for the paper finally sent to printer yesterday so hopefully life will resume to normal.

In other news: This was just posted by a friend in another forum I am in:

https://www.cnet.com/how-to/equifax-se ... may-be-the-better-offer/?

Just filed my claim. As far as I know, they won't ask for any documentation regarding the credit monitoring service. I froze all my accounts with the various credit bureaus. Better than monitoring IMO.

I ran search, I'm not eligible....

Nice GS, Steve! More pictures...we need more pictures!

I was thinking the same thing, Marcus. I know Brad smoked for years and switched to vaping.

Each one of us has an appointed time, I'd like to see my friends here extend that as far as possible.

Good Afternoon CGs!

I've had a very good couple of days selling tools. That's a nice change.

This morning I change the caliper on the white star and did spark plugs since they were due. RR#2 help me with the spark plugs. He seemed to enjoy it. I let him tighten some bolts and explained what everything was for.

Just finished taking the kids in the pool after my workout. We decided to let the dog try the pool as well. He was not a fan at all LOL. Much different than the shepherds I used to have who loved the water.

Steve, that's a very nice new car. Congratulations.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Gris - gun question. I currently have a Smith & Wesson 3953 (a dinosaur by today's standards but I love it). Is there any comparable gun out there now that is a 9 mm double stack, dao, metal gun? Thanks.

I'M NO EXPERT, BUT I'D SAY LOOK AT SIG. THEY ARE PRICEY, BUT GREAT GUNS. THE 229 APPEALS TO ME, AND YOU CAN GET IT IN .357 SIG. WALTHER WOULD BE BRAND ANOTHER TO LOOK AT.

AS A 1911 TRUE BELIEVER, I REALLY DON'T PAY MUCH ATTENTION TO THE DOUBLE STACK NINES. MOST OF THEM WON'T POINT FOR ME ANYWAY BECAUSE OF MY REWIRED HAND. I HAVE TO HAVE A SHORT GRIP IN ORDER TO LINE UP THE SIGHTS.
