I was thinking the other day about how my parents, all my aunts and uncles and most of the older folks I knew are gone. As one generation leaves another fills the void. Until that generation leaves.

Good evening, all.

Fueled the "fleet" for Carlisle today—we intend to leave very early on Thursday morning.

Hey guys...got up and around and out to the golf course. Was invited to play in the high school league tourney. Hadn't played in five years in it. Was a pretty nice day to start, but the heat started building and the breezes dropped to nearly 0, so by the time we were finished, it was hot (96). My team got third place. Made it to church, sweaty and a few minutes late, but that's done. Sleeping in tomorrow.

SLOW DAY IN TULSA, SAM BOUGHT TWO SWORDS, I PITCHED SOME LOW BALLS BUT ONLY ONE SWUNG AND HE MISSED. I WAS HAPPY WITH THAT BECAUSE I OFFERED HIM TOO MUCH TO BEGIN WITH. CROWD WAS SPARSE BUT THEY WERE BRINGING IN STUFF TO SELL. JUST NOT STUFF I WANTED, MOSTLY CLOSET-COMMANDO ITEMS.

TOMORROW MAY BE A VERRRY LONG DAY.

I think we all have those recognitions at one time or another. I guess if I average the lifespan of my dad and his, I’ve got about 7-8 years left. So I’m doing what’s responsible and looking forward to the irresponsible, and just gonna live and work with what I got.
