A MERRY TIME WAS HAD BY ALL AT THE CHRISTMAS EVE CLAN GATHERING. #3 GRANDSON BROUGHT HIS MEXICANA SWEETHEART AND #1 GRANDDAUGHTER BROUGHT HER HER NEW BOYFRIEND. (I AM THE GRANDPA AND I APPROVE OF THIS BOYFRIEND) THERE WERE MORE SNACKS AND GOODIES THAN WE COULD EAT. WE MISSED BABY DAUGHTER AND THE BOYS, BUT THAT DID KEEP THE NOISE LEVEL DOWN :-)AND THE WARRIOR PRINCESS MADE ME A BUTTERMILK PIE, YUM!

My apologies for raining on everyone's parade. I dearly wish that all of you are having a great Christmas. We're trying to proceed with the various holiday rituals. I carted my parents back and forth to church this morning and will take them to dinner at my middle sister's this afternoon. Ivelis has been wonderful, of course. We did exchange cards and she gifted me with the usual Hallmark ornaments: this year's assortment is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, a 1971 Ford Torino Cobra, and a 1982 Jeep Scrambler. |

Merry Christmas folks....
So sorry John, I know what that feels like. Prayers to your family. We got up pretty early and headed west. We got here about 11:30 and most of the family was already here. Pretty much a family gathering, the normal conversations. One of Rosie’s SILs cornered me (super liberal from Colorado) and wanted to ask me questions “as a Trump supporter”. I’m sure she thought she was going to convert me. Then she made some comment about me being educated and smart, but couldn’t figure out how I could not see the “real issues”. I told I could see them very clearly and that the liberal Democratic Party should all be put on trial for being anti-American and treason. Well that was pretty much the end of that conversation. We are at FIL house tonight. head home tomorrow. |

John. My sincere sympathy to you and your family for the loss of your brother.
Christmas party went as planned, sort of. The first family came around 01:00. People trickled in to a peak around 03:00 to 04:30. People trickled out till around after 08:00 PM. So much for the 12:00 to 05:00 party. The food selection was not as large as years past but the quality surpassed every year that we've held it. Chicken, kosher turkey, pork loin, beef brisket pork shoulder and salmon were the meat selections, salad, sweet potato, green bean casserole, a yellow pepper and squash dish, coconut rice, corn bread with corn kernels and more. Desserts assorted pies, and cookies. Probably around 50 showed up. All went well. Minimal left overs. |
