Cold, damp and cloudy. In KC this morning. Yesterday we got up early and was on the road before 7am. A stop midway to see FIL, then another stop for gas (and a pee break) and we were in KC by 1pm. Headed downtown to the Royals Fanfest to meet some of the players and play games. Rosie and I took #4 GS with us. We had a good time and got to meet the new manager and a few of the players.

We were tired after all that and headed to bed by 9:30. Slept in until 8:30.

Marc sent me a couple pictures he wanted me to post. I’m on my iPad so navigating my way around the site I use to store my pictures is not as user friendly, but I’ll try .

well so far the C8R is holding its own at Daytona..... Porsche C8R Porsche C8R right now...... the C8 is looking good.....

Thanks Tom for posting that. That shop where it is at is the original dealership that the bike was sold new at back in 64. The guy who is helping me get it all going is the one who sold the bike originally back in the day. There is a large wood stove heats the place and a bunch of old guys sitting around reliving the good old days..... I like it...... and its right here in town.

It has been a dealership since the 40's when they sold Harley's there. In the early 60's they picked up a Honda dealership and that worked well for years until Honda went all Corporate on them and wanted more floor space and better location.... so they said the hell with it in the later 80's and just became a fix it shop. Lot's of old Jap bikes in there getting fixed up...... over a hundred bucks an hour to get stuff worked on at the big dealers but half of that here or less...... the old guy can still remember part #'s and how the old stuff worked before the black boxes...... he likes it when it was simple......

have a happy day Guru's....

Vacation went pretty much as planned. Got in two days of fishing on Sue's insistence. We did OK. Came back with a few bags of fish. Got Sue a knee scooter so she has been wheeling around. She uses crutches as needed. Helped her set up her booth and unload the truck at the Marathon Garden Club Show. Her worker can handle loading it as a lot of it will be sold down there. Doing laundry and catching things back up here at the home front. Peace on Earth and good will toward men. (and Letty)

Good Evening CGs!

The bike is looking good there Marcus. How much longer?

The weather idiots said we were going to get six inches of snow last night. Instead we got 8 hours of rain. No complaints from me because you don't have to shovel rain. Started raining again this afternoon and there's a little bit of snow mixed in with it. But the ground is so wet nothing is sticking right now. Hopefully it doesn't turn into ice later.

It's been a slow month for me selling tools but hopefully that picks up in February. Once the initial shock of the first after-Christmas credit card bill has worn off people will be buying again.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Both cars completing the race is all I'm hoping for—anything else is gravy. Corvette Racing hasn't been so raw with it's cars since 1999.

Currently running 4th and 5th with about a third of the race done. I'll be up for a few more hours tonight and hope that the cars make it to morning.
