Here we go with the debut of the C8.R … among other things.

Good afternoon, all. I'm back to watch as many hours as possible of this year's Rolex 24 at Daytona. I won't stay up all night like Roger Penske does, but I hope to cover at least eighteen hours.

cor123 has all the references here, but I'm depending mostly on three things:

NBCSN and the NBC Sports app

Live timing at https://scoring.imsa.com/

Andy Blackmore's Spotter Guide.

The #3 Corvette has a minor shunt with the #98 Aston Martin. They're lucky not to have that much damage, but do lose some time. The #98 Aston then crashes leaving the pits in the same place Jeff Gordon did a few years ago.

The #4 car goes behind the wall—unknown at this point what the problem is. They've dropped several laps over the last few hours.

It's some sort of oil leak, which has been getting on the rear tires.

The #4 Corvette is still making laps—a test session at this point. Gavin (the old pro) is in the car.

I’m thinking 4th In class isn’t bad for the debut.

I think Corvette Racing did themselves proud. Both cars finished, with the #3 car on the lead lap.

Doug Fehan and his crew have undoubtedly learned a lot about how to fix issues with these cars, which will benefit the team over the next few seasons.
