Good morning, all.

Sunny but cold in the Philadelphia area.

We're basically on lockdown in our county, with overall fifty diagnosed and likely many times that sick and undiagnosed.

For now, the supply chain functions: Ivelis' work Microsoft Surface Pro suffered a hardware failure yesterday and a replacement came this morning.

BEEN RAINING AGAIN, BUT IT SEEMS TO BE CLEARING OFF NOW, I EVEN SAW A BRIEF BURST OF SUNSHINE :-)

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA TODAY, GOT THE GUNSTOCK STAINED TO THE LEVEL I WANT IT, NOW FOR THE FINISH. THOUGHT I HAD SOME STOCK FINISH BUT I DON'T.

TEE, WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST: I WANT A NON-GLOSS OIL FINISH.
I HAVE USED A PRODUCT CALLED TRUOIL IN THE PAST, HAVE TO TAKE THE SHINE OFF IT AND IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO DRY. I'D PROBABLY HAVE TO GO TO TULSA TO GET IT.

THE NATIONAL SOCIALIST DEMOCRATS ARE MAKING IT PLAIN THAT THEIR VIRUS RESPONSE IS TO DESTROY TRUMP AND ADVANCE THEIR SOCIALIST AGENDA. CAN'T LET AN EPIDEMIC GO TO WASTE, THEY SAY.

Good morning y'all. Glad to see everyone seems to have supplies under control. We're all stocked up and this morning, I went to DG to see if they had Lysol. we're out at work and home, some dude said they get a truck on Tues. Turns out they dont' put it out till wed. I asked did they have paper towels, she had them still in a box behind the counter. A 6-pack of Scott for ONE CENT. I know there's hidden one cent deals in there but dang. I got two and told her she needed to limit those. So the limit is 2.
Picked up groceries elsewhere over the weeekend and got a good bunch of the flowerbeds and crap cleaned out over the weekend during the sunny moments. We had rain and are getting rained on again today. Supposed to yesterday but the sun came out so I went back to yard work. Friday I don't think I got off the couch.
Business aren't forced to shut down here (yet) so we are going as normal. Restaurants have closed dining areas but upped their drive through and delivery games. The other day Trump said "I seriously doubt it" when asked about a shut down of the central and midwest parts of the nation. Arron is still working also and as of now, with two senior techs quitting, I think now he is the ONLY (master) certified ASE at the place. There's some newbies but he's the senior one now so they're keeping him piled up. But they have sent others home. They're at half-staff and those people alternate work days.
The "other bunch" killing the stiumulus packages for people and businesses have me a bit pissed off at the moment. All for their own glory and gain at the sufferage of Americans. Shameful

Okay, seems I am in immediate need of a battery, per my events this morning.
My current Optima red top has 1000CA, 800CCA. The ones I see now are far less. Like 700CA and 500CCA. That won't start a lawmower, maybe a year.
Got up, had to make a stop to a customer before work, car wouldn't let me in. It let me in yesterday. Today I had to use the key, unlock hatch, crawl in the fkn thing so all the neighbors saw my a$$, ripped the butt in my jeans, worm between the seats an into the floorboard to pull up the thing to open the door. got hood raised, my Matco mini jump was dead. Ok, so all the way out to the shop have to completely rearrange it to get our snapon big booster drag it all through the house and hook it up and wait. Finaly got going. Now when I shut the car off the driver window opens back up just a hair. Just enough to let rain in.
Someone please send me a liquor store gift card.
And a battery.
Seriously tho - what is there out there that is comparable to the battery I have now.

....uh....VB....you know there is a pull latch for the drivers side door in the back of the hatch along with the one that opens the fuel door..... just saying.... had to use it on several occasions.... that is there so you don't have to crawl through the car and rip your jeans and expose yourself to the neighbors...

...as for the Battery in the GS's I have always used the stock replacement AC Delco which has 600 CCA and 100 RC and 60 AH..... That has always been a good battery and I think I'm only on my 3rd one since the car was new in 2010... I would be on the 2nd one but I left the V1 plugged in a couple of times and completely drained the 2nd battery so I just replaced it.

Lot of folks like the Glass Matt so they don't leak or boil over battery acid.... my car has the battery in the back were it would not do the damage that the ones mounted in the engine bay would cause. Cost will be around $150 if you install it.

Where is the thing?
I didn't even know there was one in the floorboard until I got stuck IN the thing and couldn't get out. Arron was outside laughing too hard to tell me where the fkn thing was.

when you open the hatch on the left side wheel well you will see directly to the left between the back and the wheel well there is a pull for the gas tank lid. Moving forward to the wheel well itself you will see a wire coming out of it with a tab on it for the drivers door.... that might get hidden somewhat where the carpet meets the top of the wheel well...

I had the electric door latch go out on me on vacation once and it was the only way I could get in from the outside. I used the emergency exit when I was in the car to open the door... was a real pain but got the car home and put in new latch and all was right with the world again......

Hey guys...up and around early again and to the church hall. Finished up the paneling and everything else until the doors and trim come in...maybe Monday.

We got a nice shower last night, not sure how much as we don't have the gauge out yet, but guessing about 1/2 to 3/4".

I had to stop work this morning and go donate blood. It was supposed to be at the high school, but with the schools closed they moved it to a local church. I wasn't sure they were even going to let me give due to my visit to the KC area last week, but that wasn't an issue.

Came home and put tools away and cleaned the shop. I'll start on a bench for a lady tomorrow.

Gris, I would probably spray lacquer on the stock. But your choice of Truoil is a good one. Tung oil is ok as well, but, if you can find Watco Danish Oil finish, that is what I would use...I've used a lot of Watco over the years. Is the stock Walnut or something else? With the Watco, You basically saturate the wood and keep applying it as the wood develops dry spots and keep it dampish, for 45 minutes to an hour. Then wipe it dry and let it sit 18-24 hours, then repeat for two or three days. Each day it will take less and less oil and gain a nice 'glow'. Like any oil finish, just reapply as needed over the years. Watco comes in several colors as well as a "natural" finish. Be careful with the rags you use, saturated rags can spontaneously combust ..... ask me how I know it can happen.

Nice looking C8 there Letty. I'm with Marc on this battery thing, I just went to the dealer and got an AC/Delco Professional replacement.
