ANOTHER NICE START TO THE DAY TODAY, SUNNY, CALM, AND COLD. THE CHEROKEES ARE PLEASED.

#3 GRANDSON AND GIRLFRIEND CAME OVER YESTERDAY EVENING, STAYED A FEW HOURS AND WENT HOME. LA MEXICANA WHIPPED THRU THE KITCHEN LIKE A FLASH AND LEFT EVERYTHING SHINING. SHE IS DEFINITELY A KEEPER!

GOING OVER TO TAHLEQUAH THIS MORNING TO SIGN OFF ON THE TAX RETURN. I'LL STOP AT WALLY-WORLD TO PICK UP SOME NECESSITIES, i.e. PEANUTS :-)

KEEP UP THE FIRE, GURUS---

I have always found that anger is one of my great motivators. The adrenal surge I get helps get these tired achy joints moving. Thank God I have Sue.

Morning guys...slept in this morning. Good Friday means we are fasting and abstaining. I hope to stay busy enough today to not notice.

Headed to shop to work on the bedside tables.

It's always good to have a supportive partner!

Very cold here today. I'm worried my plants will die. Lows at 40. I put everything out 3 weeks ago . Don't need this.
Have a ton to do here today, whole house needs cleaned, 4 loads of laundry (just 2 of us so wtf), the car really needs cleaned insie and out. The Corvette gods are not happy with me hauling plants and dirt in it.
I also have a small side job to do for our next door coffee shop if he'll ever call me back.
Make it a great one! TGIF

Good morning, all.

Cold with flurries and very windy in the Philadelphia area. We had a peak of 31,000 without power yesterday evening, but the local utility has the count down to under 1,000 at this point.

Ivelis is off today because the markets are closed and I took the day off because I'm getting close to use 'em or lose 'em.

We had the time, so we went for a longer walk this morning along the local portion of the Lincoln Highway—a little over five miles. Likely another movie this afternoon.

About an hour ago I heard a fire engine siren and got all worried. Fires are definitely not something we need right now on top of everything else. The engine sounded close, so I went out to take a look.

The fire engine turned down our block and I got really worried—but just for a second: I realized it was in parade dress, with all the fancy lights on. Suddenly, it was obvious—they must be driving around to amuse local kids (and some adults ). As they went by, I gave them a thumbs-up and they waved.

Gris, 41 pictures.

You are sure as heck important. We don't have the level of farming in Pennsylvania that you do, but I know ours are hard at work, too. We've heard recently from a few that are relatively local.

It's been kinda busy.... all things being equal!

California is in a more coordinated lock down, due to COVID-19. Which means more home time than before. There doesn't seem to be a rule against going out, but masks are required. I think that's only required to actually go into a store or business. I don't think it's required to go out or drive. If you want to go in the supermarket, mask up!

Did our taxes yesterday... Watched way too much TV... Did some software side work...

Did learn that they are increasing unemployment by some $600 a week!! That starts now. Whew, a huge help. Considering the unemployment rate is now 20%.

Now... that is a bad number, but it will drop by half once the economy opens back up. I just hope and pray that I am one of the half that gets hired.

And on a happier note, I celebrated the third anniversary of buying my 2006 Coupe! It's very yellow.

Finished up the construction of the bedside tables this morning. Similar to the ones I made last week, except open shelf on the bottom instead of closed.
