Morning guys...cool, cloudy start and damp, but is supposed to clear up and warm up. Yesterday 47 was the high, today, they are saying low 80s...welcome to Kansas. Oh the south wind is going to blow too.

I have some sneeze guards to make for the local bank. Plexi-glass is the material of choice. According to the local lumber yard owner, 1. It's hard to get the good stuff, and 2. He has a hard time keeping it in stock... but he is getting 5, 4 x 8 sheets today. He told me that three of them were spoken for, so I told him I'd take the other two...and probably would take, at least, two more. The guy at the bank, that I'm dealing with, wasn't sure how many more he was needing...and, I guess, I'm building them for the branch they have over in the 'city' too.

Well, I better get to it. Have a great day!

Good morning everyone, hope y'all have had a good last few days. Sorry I've been absent, just get busy with things and dont' get in my forums like I should.
Rainy again here today but 20-30* warmer than yesterdady.
Pool people asked us to drain for the refit, we did and are installing some fancy valve in the bottom to avoid this in the future. Today she messages to stop draining, valve isn't here like she thought. Figures. Pool is a dust bowl at the moment and no valve so crap just hanging there.Third time.
Anywho, hope everyone has a good day and makes the best of it. I went from zero work to all of a sudden I have 5 jobs on my desk. Gotta get at 'em.

Why don't you just rent a car from Enterprise. They'll bring the car to the shop. You drop it off in hometown and have someone pick you up from there. Or keep it for a week and bring it back when you pick up your car. Just a thought.

Our pool is very easy to maintain. Our issues were we inherited the likes of a catfish pond. I already knew this and when making the offer on the house I offered $5k less. They also came back with a $1500 prepaid certificate to the pool place they used to ease our minds. Good deal. But, the pool place they had us with later refused to honor the certificate. They owe one of us money. We went with the place here that I design wraps for. We sprung for a new pool liner as part of an insurance claim from storms. Problem is, the original installers half assed it. The company is trying to make it right. Weather wont' cooperate. Water got behind the liner last year and floated it as we had flooding we'd not seen in 30+ years. Sometimes stuff happens.
otherwise, the thing pretty well is a non-issue chemical wise and cleaning. Add salt at beginning of season, that's the chlorination, then keep an eye on other chemicals weekly. To clean, we use bottom drain and sweep downward, takes bout an hour and done.

Good Afternoon CGs!

Weather has finally improved here. Mid sixties and sunny. Very nice.

I have a few days off to relax and hopefully I can get the Corvette out.

eBay has been doing well for me the last week. Lots of sales.

Letty, sorry to hear about the pool troubles. We're not quite ready to open ours but it's an above ground and pretty maintenance free overall.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matt, ours stays open all year. We turn the fountain on when temps drop to keep water moving. My usuall biggest worry is the "neighbor's" leaves and the worm things off our tree out front.
I want a new pool - ours is L shaped but goes the wrong direction for the sun. I want a odd shaped one that has a gradual slope into the water kinda like the beach

Gris, the book is so … uneven … at this point. Some things are almost done (the option tables, the general yearly changes) while some thing are not anywhere close (color charts, overall context). What we're in right now is what they call "constant time to completion"—I'm always about thirty pages out, no matter how many pages I write.

Busy day....John, it has been dampish but no real rain. By noon the clouds cleared out and the temps started to moderate. It is 80 now and still rising.

I bought 2 sheets (4' x 8') of plexiglass, and got it cut up. Then started making the oak framework that will encase it. I think you are right, Marcus, these things are here to stay.
