11th of June. Again?

Sorry to hear about the cancer scourge. We heard of a similar story yesterday. Sue and I will attend a funeral tomorrow for a friend of the family that attended many of our parties years ago when we used to have several parties a year at our house. She was 85 and suffered from dementia for many years now.

The older I get the more funerals I'll have to attend is my guess. Get out there and live, gurus. Until you don't.

Morning guys...Slept good in my own bed. Windowwws open last night and cool...but that's going to change today, low 90s is the prediction.

I have a few things to do, both in the shop and out at peoples houses.

Yea, funerals become more and more a thing we must do...like it or not.

I'm with Tommy, get out there and live, until we don't.

Good Morning CGs!

It cooled down a bit here. We can actually have the windows open today.

Our trip to Arizona was cancelled due to this whole Coronavirus deal. Daughter doesn't want to fly with a mask on which is required. Instead we booked a cabin in Tennessee so we'll be driving down there next week. About 9 hours in the car. But it will be nice to escape.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good afternoon, all.

Unhappy—but unfortunately true—thoughts on the increasing number of funerals. I'll also note that, as one ages, less are obligations and more are because one is emotionally involved.

Sad but true, John...

My brother and his wife will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary next month. They are planning on coming out to CA to do it - I am here, and their son (my nephew) and his family is here. Less ppl to move if they come here!

However, I realized that outside of them, I will be the only other person who was actually AT the wedding...

Our parents died (Dad in 1977, Mom in 2016), my sister-in-law's folks have passed (Dad in 2013, Mom last year)... and Paul and I lost our brother in 2003.

No other friends will be traveling from Delaware or Florida... so that leaves me... I was all of 4 and a half years old...

That reality was a bit of a shocker to me. Quite honestly, I don't remember much of the wedding, a few snips, mostly jogged by photos... but I was there! In my little summer blue suit!

Hi guys.
I agree with T. Get out and live until you don’t. I gotta try to remember that.
Andy, I hope the job search turns something up soon for you.
As for the number of funerals, you guys are right.
In ‘04 my FIL past away. Then for over two years I either attended funerals every six to seven weeks, or was acquainted with someone who passed. My work schedule was not very forgiving for those occupancies.
It ended with the passing of my eldest Sis-in-law who passed Christmas Eve, ‘07.
Let’s hope for a GREAT weekend.
