Good Morning CGs!

I'm a little early but I'll kick off today's chat. Haven't been checking in because we are in the smoky mountains in Tennessee right now on a little family vacation with the kids. Amazing views and scenery out here. Weather is a little cooler than normal but enjoyable.

As far as the new car goes, thanks for the kind words. It's a car I've wanted for almost 20 years so I'm glad I'm at a point in my life that I could acquire it without any strain on the family budget. It is still a toy, after all. On that note I will be like Tommy....couldn't bear to sell my prized possessions so the stable will continue to increase. I've already been offered $3,500 more than I paid but I politely turned him down. The color plus being a manual is a semi-rare combination in a WS6. I have some basic maintenance to do as well as a few cosmetic repairs. But for now I'd like to enjoy the car and make it a good daily. Trying to avoid the urge to modify it.

Hope everyone has a great day!

I hope you enjoy the new-to-ride there Tommy!
It’s always fun to add one to the stable. Especially one that’s been lusted after for so long.

Been a Rough couple days for me. Work, personal, etc...
Then again, it IS, 2020.

Hi all. Got the online-parts-ordering fever. Had to sell my 'other daily' (2005 BMW 330Ci ZHP.. nice car) to fund the maintenance and upgrades to the Greenwood. The missus is going to be nervous for a while. It came with the original wheels (painted black) so they'll be my track wheels. Need to lay out for some nice track rubber.. will probably hide that transaction :-)

Morning guys... Windier than crap again today...I've just about had enough of the wind. We live in a place where wind is 'normal', but, we get a break from it off and on. This crap has been constant for 2 weeks, night and day. 20 to 30 with gusts to 50- 60mph. On top of that the temps are supposed to be 100+ today.

Matt, it's a great deal that you can pursue your dream of acquiring the cars you want. Gris, was it windy? DJ, you have to do that too? That's what my 'slush fund' is for. Hang in there Bob.

OK, enough of no motivation, got to get to work... I got a table top to build.....

I think stock should more than suffice Matt. Easier to get things done AND it's not that you have that many chances to open it up speed wise. It probably has a little kick to it as it is. Our beautiful 911's and Corvettes rarely get to see top gear. 1-3 in the 911's 1-4 in the 90 Corvette and the 91 is an auto.

The grey skies have moved in with accompanying thunder and lightning. Woke this morning and walked out on the back patio like I always do and something didn't sound right with the pond. One of the couplers had blown off a hose to a small pond that overflows into the big pond. All the water had drained out except for about a foot on the bottom. Fortunately all the Koi seem to have survived and the bigger cyclids and pleckos. Many of the cyclid fry and fingerlings got stuck in the plant pots. As the water drained they were high and dry. Lost hundreds of babies. I'll be scooping small dead fish for days. Cleaned up the inside of the pond since it was down, fixed the fountain and potted a couple plants and got rid of a small dead tree. When I was working on the fountain the end of the feed hose broke off on my hand. Then it was to short to hook up to the coupling. A crafty hose fix and it was back in action. All in all it could have been worse. I'm thankful that it wasn't but it was still bad enough.

My FIL has his 2014 Vert Yellow/Black. Great looking Vette he hardly takes out of the garage. It has less than 7k miles. I might have to take it off his hands one day. He paid 72 I think but the sticker had to be higher. He likes to negotiate.

Just priced it at at $42,500 for private party, standard equipment. His is loaded.

Oh....yeah I know.....I was only kinda looking at the Corvettes.....

Hey teeb..... you remember years ago when you had a fix for the rocking C5 seats? Well you sent me up some plastic type spacers that I was going to use on old Mag Red but think I sold it before I used them.... or maybe you sent me 8 of the spacers.... I still have 4 of them.... and my C6 seat is rocking back when I get on it a bit...... so will that fix work on the C6 seat also do you think? just asking....

THAT SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT :-) THE BUMBLEBEE ALWAYS GETS ATTENTION AND COMMENTS.

SENT ANOTHER LARCENOUS SQUIRREL TO THAT GREAT BIRD FEEDER IN THE SKY THIS AFTERNOON. I GUESS NOW I CAN BE EXPECT TO BE ATTACKED BY SQUIRREL LIVES MATTER AND SUED BY THE SQUIRREL POVERTY LAWYER CENTER ;-)

IT'S ODD TO ME, MOST OF THE TREE RATS ARE CONTENT TO POLICE UP THE SPILLS UNDER THE FEEDERS. BUT EVERY YEAR I HAVE TO SHOOT ONE OR TWO THAT WANT TO GO DIRECTLY TO THE SOURCE. AFTER THAT THE FEEDERS REMAIN UNMOLESTED. IS THERE A SQUIRREL GRAPEVINE? ARE THEY JUST THE ONLY BOLD ONES? QUIEN SABE?

STONEWALL JACKSON ONCE SAID SHOOT THE BRAVE ONES AND THE REST WILL RUN AWAY. THE SOUTH'S CROMWELL---
