JUNE 19 YANKEE GENERAL GRANGER LANDED IN TEXAS WITH FEDERAL OCCUPATION FORCES AND DECLARED SLAVES FREE. A BIT REDUNDANT, LINCOLN HAD ALREADY DONE THAT, MAYBE HE HAD POLITICAL AMBITIONS ;-) BEEN A HOLIDAY IN TEXAS FOR YEARS AND YEARS.

IT'S SUNNY, CALM, AND A BIT STICKY IN THE NATIONS, RAIN LOOMING, I MUST BLOW OFF THE PATIOS BEFORE IT ARRIVES. NOTHING ON THE AGENDA, COULD PIDDLE AROUND IN THE YARD. OR NOT---WE SHALL SEE.

Hello. Taking care of business in town today and did a little shopping. Finding paper napkins has been has been the hunt for us lately. The value packs are not on the shelves leaving the overpriced small packs the only choice or the Deluxe napkins for when you are trying to impress company. You know, when you use Chinette.

Hey guys...Cool here too, mid 70s, cloudy, calm winds and a little bit of rain...and I mean a little.... .05" We'd take more. Still a wonderful break from the mid 90s to low 100s and 30-50mph winds we've been seeing for the last 2 1/2 weeks.

Made the trek over to the 'city' and picked up some materials for the lady's house project and groceries. I guess I'll go out and spray a little paint on some trim.

Earlier this week I had a couple call about having me cut a church pew down. They brought it to me yesterday and we hammered out the details...basically, how much they wanted cut off. It was 8' long and they decided to have me cut it down to 5'. I spent about 3 hours last evening and completed the cut down. This morning, they text me and ask me to figure out a way to take the 3' section I cut off and turn it into another bench. I told them I could do that. So after returning from the 'city' I started in on that and I got the leg system pretty much completed. I'll build the arms (required to help support the back) tomorrow. Then I'll stain and finish it.
