Good morning, all.

It's going to be hot today in the Philadelphia area. Perhaps not as hot as it's been for some of the Gurus to the west—but we'll make up for it here with our humidity.

OVERCAST, CALM, AND MILD IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. HAD A LITTLE DAB OF RAIN LAST NIGHT, QUARTER INCH OR LESS. ENOUGH FOR AN EXCUSE NOT TO MOW :-)

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA TODAY.

IN THE NEWS THE UNITED KEETOOWAH BAND OF CHEROKEES WON A LONG STANDING LAWSUIT AGAINST THE CHEROKEE NATION AT THE SUPREME COURT LEVEL. THE KEETOWAHS ARE THE DECEDENTS OF THE CHEROKEE "OLD SETTLERS" WHO CAME TO OKLAHOMA BEFORE THE TRAIL OF TEARS. (I THINK OF THEM AS THE ONES WHO SAW THE HANDWRITING ON THE WALL AND GOT OUT WHILE THE GETTING WAS GOOD) THEY WERE AND ARE RESENTED BY THE LATE COMERS. SAD TO SAY, THE CHEROKEES ARE INFAMOUS FOR FIGHTING AMONG THEMSELVES.

Same here with the Miccosukee and Seminoles. The Mics kept the old ways and drove deeper into the Everglades. They're not into to old ways anymore. Houses, SUV's and modern education have put a damper on that. Not to mention a chunk of change every few months from the casino.

Returned an email to one of my good childhood friends this morning. We went to elementary school together. Another childhood friend I recently made contact with has list of people from back in those days. My first friend in the world I am still in contact with. lol He lives in Cali not far from Andy. HOT and HUMID but what else would I expect from SoFlo in summer. Have I ever mentioned I'm not a fan of summer in Florida.

Hi-Ho all!
It looks like most here are doing well.
All the national bad news is starting to get to me. Add to that those who tell or observe partial truths to mislead, I’m losing my patience with them.
I think all of the hatred I’ve seen is there for the purposes of making me hate, and it takes a lot of energy to subdue those feelings.
What in the world has happened to us?

I had to burn a vacation day today. "Use 'em or lose 'em," says the University, at the rate of two a month and topping out at 24.

I did a few errands in the morning and then brought my wife lunch from a decent local TexMex restaurant to her workplace.

After eating, we went for a walk in the local park and then I drove home. On the way, I stopped at a local shopping center to see what has opened up.

Parked casually at one of the office buildings in the back was a 1996 Corvette Grand Sport. Not just any Grand Sport, either—one of the highly coveted convertibles with red guts. 1 of only 53 with that combination. I can't figure out whether the vanity plate tells us that it's number 6 of those 53 or number 653 in the overall sequence of 1,000 Grand Sports.

The things you randomly see …

It's the one, Gris—right up with a Ruby ZR-1 (245 made), or maybe a Callaway convertible (who knows how many).

I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit that I didn't initially like the Grand Sport. At some point I saw the graphic below and it suddenly all made sense. This kind of conversion has happened to me with many Corvettes over the years …

I think we probably all wish we had that. Nice car.
Hope everyone had a nice weekend, mine was relaxing in spurts, not a whole day to myself. Some unexpected company, nursing home junk, the works. Office life is VERY busy.
Speaking of cars, another one of the 2020 Vettes showed up for paint protection. This time I was here to see it in person. I still am not a fan. The front view is nice, the rear view is nice, the side view still looks off centered and awkward. And that giant ipad thing in the cockpit is a nope for me as well. looks like they taped it in there at the last minute or something. With some tweaks I'd like it, however not in this color combination.

I looked at it. Around 6 grand to do a GM based supercharger for 130 hp. Not really worth it to me. I can do a cam, headers, and tune with everything else stock and gain about 70 hp for under 2k.

Nice pictures John and Letty.

Hope everyone had a great day!

Hey guys...Up early again and we finished the north side by noon. After lunch we moved the scaffolding to the west side and decided we were hot, tired and ready to call it a day. Came home intending to take a shower and relaxing. Before I hardly walked in the door, the contractor doing the lady's house I've been doing things off and on called me, asking for me to come look at a couple things. So I went down there and walked out with more work... hanging the doors and trimming out the basement for them.

Love the pictures! I still have not seen a C8 in person.
I, kind of, like the color combo......but I'm a sucker for non-all black interiors.
